Looking Back

His wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
We can see Lot and his two daughters hurrying across the green valley. They scurry into a little town called Zoar. His wife, perhaps not as strong as Lot, and certainly unwilling to leave her home in Sodom, turned around and looked back at the blazing fire over the city. God immediately judges her for her disobedience. God doesn’t want us looking back either and hankering after the former things when He has called us to something new. He wants us to look forward and upward.
