My present shine.
Why shall I hope our souls?
Unchanged.
I see you.
There you are in here.
I can learn merchants.
See.
So.
Before we pray, could we perhaps just look at a couple of very short pictures? The first one.
And Solomon, I'm sorry, Sauna, Solomon.
Chapter One.
Song of Solomon, chapter one, verse 4.
Draw me.
We will run after.
The the revelation.
The Revelation chapter 4, the last part of the first verse.

12.
Behold.
I come Quickly, verse 20.
He would testify of these things, says surely I come quickly, Amen.
Even so far. Lord Jesus, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. So we pray. Blessed God, our loving Father, we thank Thee for thy goodness and grace and mercy to us by bringing so many of us together this weekend.
For a time over thy word or fellowship.
We thank thee, your God and Father, for that great gift, the gift of thy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
And we thank the Lord Jesus that thou hast drawn us after thee, nothing to do with ourselves, all on thee.
So as we're together here to start these meetings, we just cry to be our Father, that there would be a leading of the Holy Spirit.
To that which we should have before us, guide us and bless us, we pray in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen.
Wandering.
Your life.
Oh God.
You're right, you're going to get rid of the Warriors. I'm going to have a house or whatever.
They have to pray you're in your eyes.
And everything.
In the world.

And I'm kind of trembling to suggest it because I really want the Lord's will. So if someone feels it's, it's not the Lord's will, please say so. I'm wondering if we could take up the three comings of the Lord in Matthew 24 and 25 in relationship to Israel, relationship to professing Christianity, and in relationship to the Gentile nations, and the three meetings that we have.
It would be no doubt just an outline.
But just wondering if that would.
Be of the Lord.
I think that would be very valuable.
Perhaps the first meeting we could take up the 24th chapter down.
I think it would be to verse.
44.
Yes, first 44.
And Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple.
And Jesus said unto them.
See ye not all these things. Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another. It shall not be thrown down.
And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately saying, Tell us when these things?
When shall these things be, and what shall be the sign of thy coming in the end of the world? Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, He shall deceive many.
We shall hear wars and rumors of wars.
See that you know he be not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet, for nation shall rise against nation, and Kingdom against Kingdom.
And there shall be famines and pestilence, earthquakes and divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you. Ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And when she'll and then she'll many be offended, and shall betray one another, shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many, because iniquity shall abound, The love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same, the same shall be saved. This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall begin come.
00:20:08
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place. Whoso readeth, let him understand. Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains, but him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house, neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day.
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world, to this time no, nor ever shall be.
And accept those days should be shortened.
There should no flesh be saved, but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened.
Then if any man shall say unto thee, law, hearest Christ, or there believe it not, for there shall arise false Christ and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders in so much that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before, Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert.
Go not forth, Behold, he is in the secret chambers. Believe it not for us the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even under the West. So shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the Eagles be gathered together.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light.
And the stars shall fall from heaven, powers of heaven shall be shaken, and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. Then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He shall send his angels with a great sound of trump of a trumpet.
And they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When his branches get tender and put forth leaves, he know that summer is nigh. So likewise ye when ye shall.
Shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My word shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, of my Father only, but as the days.
Of Noah were so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. Whereas in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying, giving, and marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.
Then shall two be in the field, the one shall be taken, the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill, the one shall be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this. And if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his host to be broken up.
Therefore be he also ready for in such an hour as you think not.
00:25:03
The Son of Man cometh.
Matthew get the Lord presented as the Kingdom Messiahs, the promised Messiah to Israel.
And the testimony goes out to Israel, but he's rejected and he's persecuted by Israel. And finally by way of the cross and the his sufferings and death, he went back to the glory. And from that glory he's going to come in judgment upon this world and and the verses we read, especially upon that guilty nation that cast him out.
And so that's the pattern we see in Matthew and that's the pattern that this.
Portion follows.
That we've just read the disciples as well would suffer and be cast out and some martyr and will return with the Lord when he comes in judgment and great power and glory. And so previous to this chapter, the Lord is in the temple for the last time.
And he upgrades the Pharisees and the Sadducees and.
The ruling classes among the Jews. And he leaves the temple, never to set foot it in again. While he was here in his first coming. And he's hesitant and he longs over them. And he says, I would have gathered you as a hen gathereth her chicks under wings, but you would not. Your house is left to you desolate.
And he crosses the threshold of the temple, and on his way out he says, you'll not see me henceforth till you say, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. And he went out of the temple, and he went out of the temple, and he went out of the city. And out of the city he went up to the Mount of Olives. And if you go back to the book of Ezekiel, you see the glory cloud in that day, and the threshold of the temple in the temple. And because of the evil and wickedness of Israel, God could not.
Stay there. His holy presence couldn't be there, but he was hesitant. And the glory of the Lord goes back and forth across the threshold, but finally out of the city and right up on the mountain and disappears to the glory and won't come back again until the day of of millennial glory when the Shekinah glory enters the temple once again. So the Lord follows that same pattern right up to the Mount of Olives and.
He brings before the disciples here His coming and over these two chapters in three different ways. First, His coming in connection with Israel.
That rejected Him and the faithful remnant of Israel that will look for His return. And secondly, we get 3 parables that have to do with the time that we're in of professing Christianity and the Lord's coming in relation to professing Christianity, faithful and unfaithful.
And then finally we get the Lord's coming in relation to the Gentile nations who have had the gospel, especially in the tribulation, the gospel of the Kingdom preached to them and as to their reception of it or not. And he comes in relation to those Gentile nations for judgment on the wicked and for the blessing of the faithful. And so in this portion that we've read, it's his coming and relationship.
To Israel, and that's helpful because so many of these scriptures have been taken up and applied to the church that they don't belong there and consequently misunderstood. So the Lord brings first before the disciples as they show him the stones, these wonderful buildings that he's leaving not to come back to again. They tried to show them, oh, look at these beautiful buildings and he's just walking by them.
And he tells them not one stone is going to be left on another. And of course they want to know what? What does that mean? And immediately their thoughts are led on to their expectation of his coming glory and Kingdom. And so they asked these questions when they get to the Mount of Olives, tell us, when shall these things be? In other words, when are these stones going to all be thrown down? When's this going to happen? What a.
00:30:06
Tremendous event. You know, they, they have never seen any buildings in their lives like there was there at the temple. They'd never traveled beyond the land of of Canaan of Palestine. And how could that happen? And what shall be the sign of thy coming? Well, he was already there. What did they mean? They were looking on to when he would be present here and manifest to all as King Messiah take his rightful place. What shall be the sign of thy coming?
And of the end of the world, that's not like we would tend to think, the end of the physical globe, but the end of the age, the age that they were presently in and that we're still in, that will yet come to an end. And then what's going to be introduced? The age of the Kingdom, that wonderful millennial Kingdom. So they want, what's the end of it? When's the end of the age? When is this time going to end and the Kingdom going to be introduced. And then the Lord goes to answer them.
In such a way that they would find his instructions useful.
To themselves personally, but also to open up their understanding as to what was coming in relationship to Israel. And so the disciples stand here not only as the Lords disciples who were going to be the nucleus of the church in the coming time, but they really stand here representative of that faithful remnant of Israel that God will raise up in the tribulation. And so if we think of them in that place, then it helps us.
The instructions that we're getting now until Jerusalem was destroyed by Titus and AB 70. These things would be and were helpful to those disciples. But once that outward, any visible outward testimony that the Jews might have had was destroyed in 8070 when Jerusalem was destroyed, the end of the, you might say usefulness in that way of these Scriptures.
Was done for the Christian disciples, but they will come into usefulness again in the Tribulation. I have no doubt that the the faithful remnant and the Tribulation will find much help from these very scriptures.
Could you say a few words about the rapture?
The rapture in this portion that we've read doesn't really come into the picture, But if the Lord leaves us here and we take up in the end of chapter 24 and chapter 25 and we signed the Christian parable, we'll find the rapture as mentioned three times. And that's especially for us in connection with our responsibility and what we look for too. And so you'll find in those Christian parables.
Doors not presented as the Son of Man, which is his title that he'll take, took in rejection and will take when he comes to reign over the nations. He's not presented that way, but as a bridegroom.
And.
It's especially brought out as to various aspects of our responsibility in this time that we're here waiting for his return. And so that's really where we get the truth of the rapture connected with these Scriptures is in those three Christian parables. But the coming in this portion that we've read is his coming in power and glory.
His visible coming. His coming has two phases for his Saints, the Rapture, and with his Saints, his visible appearing in this world.
The counterpart to the passage really is is Daniel Chapter 9. Perhaps we could just look at a few verses in Daniel Chapter 9 because it corresponds very closely to this chapter and really is the fulfillment Daniel 924 this is.
A very important prophetic.
Passage and you really can't understand our chapter.
Fully, unless you compare it with Daniel chapter nine. I think the you have the fulfillment there, wouldn't you say so, Steve, that's the backbone of prophecy. That's very helpful to have.
00:35:01
An understanding of that 24th verse of Daniel. 970 weeks are determined upon by people, and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. Know therefore, and understand that from the going forth of the commandment, to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah, the Prince.
Shall be seven weeks and three score. In two weeks the street shall be built again in the wall, and even in trouble as times and after three score and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off.
But not for himself. And the people of the Prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, and the end thereof shall be with a flood. And unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate even unto the consummation. And that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
So just a brief note on that passage.
Really. The last week of that prophecy, the 70th week, has not yet been fulfilled.
We are waiting for the.
That period, that last week of Daniel's prophecy to be fulfilled, 69 weeks have transpired and the Messiah was cut off and had nothing. He did not get his Kingdom. The Lord did not receive the Kingdom at that time.
And.
The Lord is foretelling that which will precede the establishment of the Kingdom, and it's foretold in the verses in Daniel that we read.
And so here we have those developments that will precede the establishment of the Kingdom.
Which will be when the Lord appears in power and glory is brought before us in our chapter here.
And so really this is a description of the last week.
Of Daniel's prophecy, and it will, for the sake of the young people, perhaps to clarify things. This is not really a Christian period.
At the Rapture, when the Lord returns to take his people out of this world, the Church, then the clock of prophecy will again begin to tick, and the the.
Fulfillment of those.
Those four foreshadowings, there's those prophetic details, and Daniel will come to pass. The last week will take place.
And this is what we have largely described in our chapter here.
So although as believers we can we have an intelligence of these things, this is not a period of the Church.
'S.
Blessing here or the church?
Presence on the earth at this time. I think we should make that clear at the outset.
Some might get the impression that because there is reference to the president period and the coming of the Lord for his Saints mentioned here after the tribulation that's going to take place after the tribulation. But that's not the case and we need to be clear about that, don't we? You know, the Lord Jesus, I believe.
Would spare us from the wrath that this world is going to experience. You know, it tells us about the testimonials that they turn to God from idols to serve the living and true God and to wait for his Son from heaven.
Who has delivered us? Even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. So I think that wrath there would speak of.
00:40:03
The wrath of God poured out in this world because of its rejection of His Son.
We're going to be spared that rat, aren't we? And it speaks also in Romans chapter 5 how that we've been justified by his blood.
That we might be safe from the wrath to come.
Well.
That perhaps could speak of the raft that will be experienced in hell by those that reject Christ.
But would it not also speak of the wrath that's going to be poured out on this world because of its rejection of Christ? So I I could believe that the Christian is going to be spared from wrath, whether it's in time or in eternity.
But I just think maybe there needs to be clarification about that because.
With respect to the sequence that we have here, we have the tribulation brought before us.
In reference to the Christian period, but.
Chronologically is going to be the coming of Christ for his Saints, isn't it?
And then the rafters got poured out.
So it's important to pick up, as we go through these verses, those things that really indicate and show us that this is Jewish in character, not Christian.
And one of the first things here is the way the Lord answers. Take heed that no man deceive you. Many shall come in my name saying.
I am Christ, and then a little further down.
In verse 23 and 24.
Then if any man shall say unto you, lo, here is Christ, or there believe it not, for there shall rise false Christ and false prophets.
The ultimate one being the Antichrist himself.
That's not a deception that Christians are prone to. Why? Because every Christian knows, whether professing or real, that the Lord went to Calvary, was raised from the dead, and he's in heaven.
Every Christian knows the Lord's in heaven. They're not open to the deception, generally speaking, that oh, Christ is here, Christ is there. He's in a desert place, He's in a secret chamber or whatever it might be. What is the Christian open to deception from the apostle John tells us, try the spirits. The Spirit of God is here present, and he's the one who is the power for ministry. He is the Spirit of truth. He's the one who testifies of Christ.
And the danger for the Christian is to be fooled by a false spirit, to be fooled by those false doctrines that the enemy through his.
Legion of Fallen angels seeks to propagate in this world, and the apostles try the spirits. Don't be fooled.
What's the touchstone? The touchstone is the apostles doctrine. He that heareth not us is not of God. That's what the Christian is prone to being fooled by. But for the Jew who's still looking for the Messiah here on earth? Because though they rejected the Lord didn't mean they stopped looking for Messiah.
They're still looking for him, or are they looking for him? They're looking for him here on the earth, and they're liable to be fooled by 1 Coming and saying, oh, here's Christ or I'm Christ.
And they are going to be full the apostate part of that nation by one who says I'm Christ the Antichrist. And so that's one of the indicators that this is not a Christian.
Exhortation.
And this portion, but it's especially a warning for that faithful remnant that will be here in the tribulation.
So the reference to Christ there is the Messiah.
Yes, that's right.
Yeah, Christ and Messiah really are are the one in the same word in that way the anointed, the the the rightful son of David, who God would anoint to be David's greater son, the Christ.
00:45:00
One coming in his own name they will receive.
John 5.
It's very important that we see at the outset of this study that God has two distinct purposes in view. I mean, we've often heard this, but it's good to reiterate it, that He has the purpose of blessing and earthly people.
Distinct from the Church and the heavenly people which we compose that that company now as the Church of God.
Brother Steve mentioned the deception that is coming in and it is certainly rapid in Christendom today that.
That the church's blessings are earthly and a fulfillment of the prophecies of the Old Testament. This whole so-called covenant theology is, is a complete travesty. It's it's erroneous and it's because that.
They do not see the distinctive character of God's dealings at the present time. Dispensationalism.
Is not is not understood in Christendom generally. And so they have things in confusion. God has a distinct purpose to bless the nation of Israel, and that is what our chapter deals with primarily. And he has also a distinct purpose to bless a heavenly people. The church is not part of this world. It's not part of the prophetic picture.
That we have read of this morning. It is a company that belongs to heaven.
And our blessings are not Israel's blessings transposed into the Church. We are a heavenly people with distinctive hopes and aspirations. And we.
We will be with Christ in the glory. We're not going to be an earthly people, but there will be an earthly people and this is what the Lord Jesus is referring to in our chapter, how he is going to bring that nation back into.
Wondrous blessing. The third dispensation, if we can call it Millennium. The Millennium is a dispensation. We are now in the dispensation of the grace of God. And so.
When this is established, as the Lord foretells in our chapter here, it will be a time of marvelous earthly blessing for the nation of Israel and many of the Gentiles being brought into that same sphere of earthly prosperity and and glory, with the Lord reigning as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But it's important to see that this has an earthly character.
And that the Church is not really contemplated in the verses that we read today.
But of course we are to be intelligent about these things and prophecy.
Is is something important? It's very important in the word of God and that we need to understand the principles of of these things and rightly divide the word of truth.
Yeah, the reference clearly in.
Fact that it's happening in Judea and.
We're going to pray it's not happening on the table. It has nothing to do with.
Interesting thing in verse 15 when you therefore you'll see abominations of desolations broken up by then the protest stand in the holy place and then it says do so read it. But I'm understood that's like a he. The Lord says some are going to read that and they're going to understand when they read what the disciples can understand because this wasn't written at that time, but then the disciples of the Lord in the trade should release their reading this and understanding they don't know.
This is what's happening and I just like to put in parallel that 15 verse the 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2.
00:50:15
Three.
Words will not come, except there comes a falling away 1St and that's the matter to send me your deal with some petition proposing and told himself above all, and it's on God and his worship, so that he has God sitting in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
What we have here what refers to on our 15th 1St imagine it needs to be both you shall be as God taking pole out of many even here's a man God.
And so too in the.
In a tribulation, when he sets in the temple of God and shows himself that he is God, he goes on to.
To set up an image we find in Revelation 14, I believe to the beast and causes all men to worship the beast. So both he claims he is God and he causes men to worship the beast is just another man also and sets up an image and no doubt right in that very place that Daniel speaks of in the holy place.
In the temple and so the 1St 3 1/2 years of the tribulation are divided off from the last 3 1/2 years.
That last week of years of Daniel's prophecy that is to be fulfilled as divided into two portions and the 1St 3 1/2 years take us up to verse 14.
Verse 14 is a transitional verse and what do we find in the first verse is we find wars, rumors of wars, we find famines, pestilence and and death that would follow. With pestilence we find the faithful persecuted and then we finally come to the.
Verse the end of verse 13 but he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved and so you look in the beginning of Revelation and and the.
The apostle sees the seals of a book one after another being opened. And 1St you have wars and then you have famines and death and pestilence, and then you have finally the 5th seal, the faithful persecuted. And finally the 6th seal comes to really the middle of the tribulation, the end of the first 3 1/2 weeks. There's not a lot of prophecy on the 1St 3 1/2 weeks, most of prophecy.
As to the tribulation, time centers on the last 3 1/2 and that's what Daniel calls the great tribulation in chapter 12, such as the world is, has never seen before. And that's really mainly what the Lord takes up here. So the 1St 3 1/2 years brings us to verse 14 in the middle of the tribulation, Satan and is cast out of heaven. There's a war in heaven. He's cast out to the earth and he at that time energizes.
The Antichrist and the Beast, Remember, there's two distinct people there.
And they come to the forefront for the remainder of the tribulation. And that image is set up and men worship the Antichrist and they worship the beast right in the place where Jehovah had been worshipped. And that is what Daniel calls the protection or or covering of abominations. In other words, they're allowing idolatry in the most awful way, right in the place where Jehovah was worshipped. On that note.
The Lord says, when you see that.
Run. Just get out of there. Don't go back from the field to get anything from your house. If you're in the house or it says up on the rooftop, which is the living room there in the Middle East and those warmer climates, just don't even go down the steps and go back in the house to grab something. Go down the steps because the steps are on the outside of the house and just keep going. You have no time.
To lose because in the 1St 3 1/2 years the faithful are going to preach the gospel of the Kingdom. That is that the king is coming and he's going to set up his Kingdom and that's going to really rankle the professing church. What's left of the church after the Christians are gone, They are going to seize control. And that's the picture you get in Revelation of the woman professing Christianity riding the beast, the political power, and they are going to hate the preaching.
00:55:05
That there's a king coming and everything belongs to him, and they're going to persecute the faithful. But when Satan's cast out in the middle of the tribulation and he takes the reins, the false church is destroyed and he brings his men to the front, the beast and the false prophet, the beast and the Antichrist. And then the persecution breaks out against the faithful in a way that it never had in the 1St 3 1/2 years. And so we get these instructions to run.
To the faithful.
Most 13 and 14 verses especially where 13 you know she used often among fisheries to.
Destroy the confidence and their security and faith of Lord Jesus, his work and they say what you have to do or you have to persevere. Let's persevere and not going to be saved at university. You shall endure until the end. The same children say, but that's not the gospel of the grace of God.
He lost on the team, as he said in 1St 14 and this lost. What's that good news? Good news is the first year theme. The promise of salvation is by enduring to the end. And so if you have the mark of the beast, it's clearly said in revelation that you're do you're not going to be saved. So you're going to have to suffer through the tribulation to to resist that influence. So you can have that promise of people say true that you did.
I think it's important to see that return of God says that this gospel of the King, the next is very clear.
That's what the Lord then calls verse 21, the great tribulation. Great. It's the last 3 1/2 years and as you say brother Michelle, that's when the mark of the beast comes into play and he's going to to try and get hold.
By making sure no one can do anything in his Kingdom unless they have that mark. And so for the faithful, they're going to be cut off from every.
Earthly comfort, so to speak, if they want to remain faithful and accept those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved, but for the elect sake they shall be shortened. And so there's a specific period of time God's going to limit it to those 3 1/2 years and that's it. But you know, for us, Peter says the flesh suffers, and if it doesn't suffer, well, we're in trouble. If the clutch suffers, we've ceased from sin. And so for the Christian, the pathway of suffering.
Is all the way until the Lord comes the entire path. But the expectation for the faithful remnant here is it's going to come to an end here in this earth and relief is going to come. And they look forward to that relief. And the Lord says I've shortened the time. I'm not going to let it go on and on, I've shortened the time.
It's remarkable that Chris and.
As we see it today, much of it is lifeless, but it's going to go on after the rapture. So the Lord came today. All those who are saved, all believers in the world would be.
Raptured into the glory to be with Christ. Then, as we said, the clock of prophecy will begin.
To, to tick and to at least.
Prophecies will be fulfilled but the Christendom as a as a body will go on until the middle of the week and the woman will ride the beast. Persecution in in the 1St 3 1/2 years is from the Falls Church is from the woman riding the beast.
Persecution in the second-half of the week, which is the Great Tribulation, will be from the Antichrist.
Energized by Satan and the and the Roman beast, but there will be the profession of of Christ going on until until the middle of the week.
It'll be a lifeless mass, but there will be that outward acknowledgement of Christ and.
And the the deception will be tremendous if we turn the First Second Thessalonians.
We've already referred to that they all might be damned who received not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. That Second Thessalonians.
01:00:04
Although much of the chapter deals with that subject, but verse 11 for this cause God shall send them strong delusion. Who are them? It's those who have made a profession of Christianity, but are unreal and God and have rejected the gospel of the grace of God. And God is in his governmental ways is going to send them a strong delusion that they should believe alive. What is the lie?
Well, it's that the Antichrist is is God is the one that is going to set everything right. They're going to put their confidence in this man and they're going to fall for this deception. They'll believe a lie that they all might be damned who believe not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. I believe that is primarily referring to.
Defunct Christendom, Those that have made the profession.
And maybe living even at the period, this period of grace and and reject have rejected the gospel and rejected Christ and God allows in his government this deception to come in. Is that right, Steve? Yeah, there's a verse in the First Epistle of John that's helpful to in chapter 2 and verse 22, who is a liar.
That he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah.
So he is going to be the head of Jewish apostasy. He's not only going to say he's God, but he's going to deny that Jesus is Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth.
Who's a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ, he is Antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son, the fullest revelation of grace and truth to lost and ruined man was the Father revealed in the sun here below. That's Christian truth. He's going to be the head of Christian apostasy as well, but he's a deceiver. And so the Lord's warning in our chapter is that there would be a deception that would go out that could almost deceive the very elect, the end of verse 24. Even those sovereignly elect by God.
So powerful with this deception be that they could almost be deceived.
They won't be, and so the rest though go on. In this deception they receive Antichrist as promised King, worship him, and they're a lifeless.
Mass of of empty profession and falsehood. And so in verse 27. For as the lightning cometh out of the East, and shineth even unto the West, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be unmistakable when the Son of Man comes.
It won't be somebody saying he's in a secret chamber over here or he's out in the desert here. Everyone that's going to see that, it's going to be unmistakable, just like when the lightning flashes, the lightning sudden and it's fast and it's destructive. And when the Son of Man comes, it's going to be just in that way. And as it goes on to say where, wheresoever the carcass is there will the Eagles be gathered together. It's going to strike that lifeless corpse.
That follows the Antichrist and the beast, and those vultures find those dead corpses, don't they? You and I might hunt for hours for one. But the vultures circled right over. He sees right where it is, he finds it. And so the judgment is going to fall upon that lifeless mass of empty profession of apostate Israel, and that judgment is going to find its prey.
2nd Thessalonians, chapter 2, verse 2.
Not receiving the love of the truth.
Because the only thing I'm seeing is truth, the love. There's the expression of God and his fullness and the pressure of the Lord Jesus. And so the religious man never finds in the light of the grace of God. He finds the light in his own performance. And we have a verse for us, for our hearts and features, chapter 2.
As you can consider the lighting God gives us in what's going to happen on the earth and Israel. What about us? Why? Why would he would we keep such stroking of this race? And we're going to go to heaven. And you know, as scaling as we are and as lukewarm as we are, we're going to be with the Lord.
01:05:01
Says in verse 7.
And in the ages that come, you might show the exceeding riches of its grace and His kindness toward us.
Here we are the audience of sovereignty God is wielding stuff in the first of the Son and has he had an hang on the tree into having a nurse object of a curse and his wrath fell upon him. Now at least of God and manifest the continued riches of inspiration to anyone here in this world that says before the industry and that's where it's going to be in the glory when you manifest as a trophy of God's grace Lord.
It's good to see, Brother Steve, as you were saying earlier, that when it's the Son of Man, it's always in connection with judgment, isn't it?
I was thinking of the verse in John Fine and verse 27.
I'll read verse 26. Where does the Father has life in himself? So has he given to the Son to have life in himself and has given him authority to execute judgments also because he is the Son of man. So in our chapter, it's clearly referring to the Lord coming out of heaven in judgment. It's it's the same as what we get in Revelation 19 two when he comes out of heaven with 10 thousandths of his Saints.
It's the same time, is it not?
You have to really see there's two apostasies, the apostasy of Christendom, which will culminate in the middle of the week.
And then there's the apostasy of the nation of Israel. The remnant will be separated from that ungodly part of the nation many of the Psalms refer.
To both.
Both parts of the last week but there are many descriptions of the condition of things in the last half of the week when a large part of the nation of Israel will be apostate, they will follow the Antichrist, and the remnant will be bitterly persecuted those that will be looking for the.
The coming of the true Messiah, the Lord Jesus. They'll be bitterly persecuted and we'll have to flee in the last half of the week, flee from the land to save their lives. So it's important to see those two apostasies, the apostasy of Christendom.
And the apostasy of the of the nation of Israel.
Could we have just 86?
286.
We shall be.
Happy, and she needs a sorrow.
42 in the back, 42 in the back of the book.
Is our redemption and salvation full and free? Nothing need our souls to start, but forgetfulness of Thee Not can stay our steady progress. More than conquerors we shall be. If our eyes would air, the danger looks to be none but Thee.
42 in the back.
Early does, my God.

Here that with some power the Lord himself.
For the sunshine.
Almost all the time.
Verse 29 down through the 13th verse of chapter.
25.
Matthew 24 verse 29 and down to where the 13th verse of chapter 25.
2439 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened. The moon shall not give her light, the stars shall fall from heaven, the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. Then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn. They shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet.
They shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When his branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh. So likewise ye, when he shall see all these things, know that it is near even at the door. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled. Having a nurse shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away but of that day. And our soul shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.
For us in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark and knew not until the flood came took them all away. So shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.
Then shall two be in the field, the one shall be taken, the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill, the one shall be taken, the other left.
Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
00:05:00
But know this, that if the Goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be also ready, for in such an hour as you think not the Son of Man cometh. Who then is that faithful and wise servant whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant whom is Lord when he cometh, shall find so doing.
Barely I say unto you, that he shall make him ruler over all his goods, but in if the that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming, and shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken. The Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware, shall cut him asunder, and appoint him as portion with the hypocrites.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the Kingdom of heaven be likened under 10 virgins, which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom, And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made. Behold, the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps, and the foolish set under the wise. Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, Say not so, lest there be not enough for us and you, But go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgin, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour, when the Son of Man cometh.
I wonder if, Brother Steve, you could give us a little outline again of the three sections that you spoke of at the start of the meeting last time as to how they each section that we would consider in each of these meetings boardwaling.
The first section this takes us down.
To verse 44 and that's the coming of the Lord in relationship to Israel.
For judgment upon the three parables that the Lord gives, that I believe have to do with His coming in relation to.
Professing Christianity both for the faithful that will go into be with the Lord when he comes the rapture and those who will.
Go on to judgment are brought out, and then in chapter 25 after those parables were given, the Lord picks up the thread again.
With verse 31, with the coming of the Son of man and coming in glory and there it's in connection with the Gentile nations, and there is again a blessing for the faithful and judgment for.
Those who?
Were enemies of Christ, and their judgment is based on the faithful remnants preaching back in verse 14 the gospel of the Kingdom.
Remember first they preached the gospel of the Kingdom in the first half of the Tribulation, and that which is professes to be the Church of Christ, the false bride, having seized the reins of power in this world.
Does not want to hear anyone preaching the coming of another gang, someone else who everything belongs to and who's going to take that which is by right but.
00:10:11
In the middle of the tribulation that false church is destroyed under the judgment of God using the beast, the head of Gentile power in this world and two men come onto the scene. The man who is head of of Gentile power and the revived Roman Empire called the beast. His empire is also called the beast and the Antichrist. The beast is head of you might say political affairs and the Antichrist head of religious affairs. The anti Christ becomes the leader of apostasy for all those who once professed Christianity when.
The false church is destroyed and he's the leader of apostasy for that part of the Jewish nation that refuses to hear of the coming of Messiah as well preached by those who carry out the gospel of the Kingdom. While those two will not suffer the thought or the preaching of another king coming either, but.
In far greater ferocity they persecute that faithful remnant, and the warning of the Lord is to flee.
Nonetheless, some will receive those messengers, some will believe, and so when the Lord comes as Son of Man in connection with the Gentile nations in the end of chapter 25, it's going to be a judgement based on whether they receive those messengers or not. That went out in verse 14 of chapter 24. So in between we have these three parables.
I believe apply to.
Professing Christianity and there's some things that are notable about them that you don't get. And the other two portions, Christ is not mentioned. Christ is brother Derek pointed out means Messiah. He's not mentioned. It's Lord. Jerusalem is not mentioned.
You have no reference to the temple, nothing about the Sabbath.
There is.
Nothing about the Son of Man.
Coming, which is coming in judgment. And so there are some things that are notably different in those.
Parables that would indicate to us that they apply to professing Christianity.
So really it was on my heart maybe to get more into those parables in this meeting, but like to go through the rest of the verses that we didn't cover, at least in an outline form that lead us up to that transition that we get in verse 42 Through 44 that leads us into those parables.
I mentioned that in verse 40, the.
Commonly taken.
In a in a wrong way.
We know this will happen at the Rapture, but.
The people the person spoken of here in verse 40 is not the rapture. This is the words coming to set up his Kingdom and prior to that there will be.
The harvest discriminating judgment which will take place before the Lord returns, and the one that is taken here is taken in judgment. The one that is left is left for earthly blessing, so that discriminating judgment, perhaps through the angels, will take place at the end of the tribulation. I judge and then.
Those that are left will pass into the millennial period.
The result of the awful.
Cataclysmic events of the last half of the tribulation are really the great tribulation leave the world in this condition that we have in verse 29. Really what we might say is.
More the prophetic earth, that sphere in which we see the prophetic nations that we come across in the Old Testament prophetic scriptures, we have those successive nations.
Barack of course empires really of Babylon of Persia and Greece and then the Roman empires and so the that's more of the circumference where these things tend to unfold and perhaps even extending to those lands that were colonized by those peoples could be North America included in that as well. But.
00:15:24
It leaves them in this place of no light whatsoever.
Complete moral darkness, no one to lead, no one to guide, as we have with the light of the sun and the moon and the stars, All are shaken. Even the powers of the heavens shall be shaken because you know up in heaven there's going to be a tremendous change of events.
When Adam fell, God placed the administration of this world into the hands of angels.
But it's going to be taken up by the Lord Jesus Christ in the coming day as a man once again. And those angels are going to become his mighty angels rather than as they are now, the angels of God. And he's going to use the church and Israel to administer affairs of this world. Well, that's shakeup's going to take place, you might say, in heaven, like a, like a transition of government, so to speak, but here in this earth.
All moral light is just completely gone.
It's going to be such an oppressive situation when man has absolutely no spiritual guidance whatsoever.
1St 28.
I know it mentions in verse 24 the fraudulent Gentiles times the Gentiles being fulfilled by the 1St 28. I'm just wondering is it parenthetical says and when you when these things beginning to come fast and look up and lift up your heads for your exemption throughout nine years, lots of that.
This is the same account, but the Spirit of God has a different purpose in its details. And but I do believe that that is the faithful remnant, and the coming of the Son of Man may be that sign. His sudden appearance in this world may be the sign that we read of in verse thirty of our chapter. Then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven.
When they see all these things take place, even as awful as those judgments are, it's an indicator to them that their salvation is at hand. Israel looks for salvation here in this scene.
Peter says of us having received the salvation of your souls. We don't look for an earthly temporal deliverance. We have the salvation of our souls. We're looking for the Lord to come to take us. But they're going to be looking for an earthly temporal salvation from their enemies and deliverance here. And it's going to be right at hand when they see these things unfold. And this is the redemption of Israel, isn't it? Not the redemption of our bodies we're waiting for. The redemption of our body comes for us.
But here increase the redemption of Israel as a nation. How does this relate to?
Revelation chapter one and verse 7.
It says here in Revelation One and Seven, Behold, he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him, and all kindreds of earth shall wail because of him. Even so. Amen.
Notice in our chapter in verse 30 it says here then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Now is this the same time?
00:20:01
You know these two references.
I believe so that it's the same time, but there's a little different emphasis. Revelation largely takes up prophetic things in the light of church truth and in the light of the failure of the Church of God and its testimony and hands of responsible man. Whereas this portion that we're reading through right now, these first 44 verses are the Lord's coming in relationship to Israel.
And so they that pierced him, the Gentile nations are responsible. It was a soldier that pierced his side. It was Gentile soldiers that nailed him to that cross. But Israel is also responsible because they're going to look on him whom they pierced.
They're going, they are responsible as well. And so I think you get more Jewish responsibility here in our chapter, where in Revelation it perhaps takes up a little wider sphere of things.
The tribes of the Earth.
Mourning in our verse 30 perhaps refer more to those tribes that will be in the land.
When the Lord comes, you know the 10 tribes were long ago taken captive and were not in the land when the Lord Jesus was here. It was mainly Judah and some of Benjamin. There was a scattering of the others, but mainly Judah, a little Benjamin. And they're the ones responsible in the sight of God as to the crucifying of their own Messiah. And they're the tribes that the judgment of God as to the portion of those tribes that's apostate.
That the judgment of God is going to fall upon. And so perhaps this tribes of the earth mourning, so to speak.
Maybe that in view, but you know, those who are faithful are also going to see him and they're going to mourn as well, aren't they? They're going to be sorry when they see that their Messiah, whom they long looked for, they had actually crucified. And so perhaps that's making an application of it.
But there's going to be mourning. He's Son of Man is coming in the clouds of heaven.
They asked for a sign from heaven, and they're going to get a sign from heaven, not what they were looking for when they asked him. And the Lord said to the council that tried him that they were going to see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven, and they will see him coming in the clouds of heaven with all the ensigns of Jehovah, great power and glory, for he is Jehovah.
And he is Son of man, and so he's going to send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they're going to gather the scattered seed of Israel from all over this world. They're going to be brought back in as well when he comes brought into blessing, though the the scattered ones not responsible in the same way as those tribes in the land, but they're going to be gathered in at that.
Time.
And so this figure of the fig tree is brought out, and the fig tree is a picture of Israel often in the prophetic Scripture, and it's going to begin to grow. It's going to and will in time bring forth fruit once again for the Lord.
Sends his angels.
She gathered the elect of Israel, and he also sent the angels and imagined 13.
Negative diversity, John, referring to those that were taken away.
And that's magic. 1341 And the Son of Man sent forth his Angel.
She'll get it out of his Kingdom all things, and then iniquitous acquired her shall be waiting and asking her teeth.
We have the Lord power gathering the elect of Israel and continue to contain them.
It's interesting that at the rapture it speaks about how the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with the shout, with the voice of the Archangel Trump of God. Now here it speaks to about the angels.
00:25:01
And a great sound of a trumpet.
But in this case, it's not to call Saints up, but to call them back into the land and margin. The Bible says with the trumpet and the great voice. It's wonderful how God will work to draw his own back into the land of Israel.
I think in two of the contrast that we have here in verse 30 when they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Well, what was the last sight yet they had of the Lord Jesus Christ? Was it not as he hanged on the cross, a picture of weakness and defeat hanging there?
And I suppose many thought what a loser, but.
We know it's going to appear in power and great glory, and history will indicate otherwise, that he's no loser, He's the victor.
He's a winner and how wonderful that you and I through faith in him. We're on a winning side too, although the world looks upon us and they probably think that, you know, we're at a disadvantage because of our faith and so on, losing out on the things of this world. But.
We're on the winning side.
And so we need to look ahead, don't we, and rejoice in hope that the glory of God. I know this speaks here of Israel, but how wonderful. When the Lord returns, I think we're going to be with him, are we not?
We're going to reign with him over here.
I had a problem for a long time with the.
30th verse.
Because of.
Becoming the thoughts of coming to the Lord and.
Angels looking at some of the verses, the Old Testament that prophesied at the time of Israel is gathering again and I wondered if you could put this a couple of verses to help us with that factor.
10.
Congestion, which stands for many sign of the people to Intel and mental sheep is rest of the glorious shall become the path. And I think that the warriors shall set his hands again the second time and recover the remnants of his people, which shall be landed in Syria and Egypt, and from Kushal mainland, from Sinhar and Kohana, from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an Ensign translation shall assemble the outcast of Israel and gather together.
Judith on the Four Corners a year.
Also in Deuteronomy that there's very many other restrictions that speak of that event. Some of them mentioned trumpets even.
Chapter 3 If you do not mean it shall come to pass this one, when all these things are come upon me, the blessing and the curse which I've set before thee, and thou shall call them to mind among all the nations with to the Lord thy God had driven thee shall return unto the Lord thy God shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day.
Now are my children with all thine, heart, with all thy soul. Then, then, then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity and have compassion upon me, and will return and gather thee from all the nations whither the Lord thy God has gathered thee. If any of thine be driven out for the almost parts of the heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gathered thee, and condense will affect you.
I think that.
We see that verse 38 in our passage here that people will be completely unaware of the judgment that is about to fall. They will look up at the beast and they will think, here is the man that we will put our confidence in. He is all powerful and he's going to bring peace and safety.
Sudden destruction is going to come upon them. They're not like in the days of Noah. They they have no premonition or.
Any.
Thought of destruction coming upon them and they are simply indulging themselves and.
00:30:06
Rejecting any testimony, and suddenly the Lord appears. Power and great glory. That's His appearing in judgment.
And you have a series of judgments there, the Armageddon and the harvest and the vintage judgments, which perhaps we won't go into here, but there are various judgments that come into view there at the end of the tribulation period. But I think if we're going to go on to the the section that we have before us.
Which?
Wonderfully brings before us ministry in the House of God, that perhaps we should look at these verses toward the end of the chapter. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? This is the period now portrayed of the of the Church having.
Having a place in the ways of God, being now the vessel of testimony and the whole thought of ministry in the Church of God in this present period. This this period of grace while the Lord is absent is brought before us remarkably at the end of the chapter here. And it's important to see that there's a ministry now in the Church of God.
That was never so in the Old Testament. There wasn't a ministry, there was a priesthood and.
That was confined to one family, the family of Aaron. But now in Christianity, which is portrayed in these verses from 43 onwards, really is is a picture of Christendom, the period that we are in. There's a ministry now and the Lord is.
Is using His servants the faithful and wise servant.
To minister the word in in his household, and this brings us to the present application.
That there are there is a ministry. You have that verse in First Peter chapter 4.
And we better turn to the first Peter, chapter 4, verse 10.
As everyone has received the ability, Even so minister the same one to the other as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Now we have a stewardship brother, and although public ministry is confined to the men in the assembly, everyone has a ministry in the body of Christ. Everyone is a servant of God, although it may not be in the public sphere.
And so that's brought before us here, giving meat and due season. And it's a beautiful thought that God the Lord having ascended into the glory.
Has imparted gifts to his church.
And these gifts are now being.
Are functioning now in the House of God and we are part of that house and the Lord in His grace has provided that ministry for us to build us up, to give us that meat and due season, bringing before us our responsibility as stewards.
Something has been entrusted to us. What are we doing with it? Whatever it is, what gift the Lord has imparted to us, we're responsible for what the Lord has given to us.
And we're going to have to give an account of how we have used, whether it be.
Natural resources or whether it be a spiritual gift, we are responsible and blessed is that servant whom his Lord, when he cometh, shall find. So doing that is there's going to be a reward for the way in which we have used.
That ability that the Lord has given us now for the benefit of his people and the the body of Christ, there's going to be a reward.
And a place in the coming Kingdom according to our walk and our conduct and our stewardship down here.
Connection with that would just like to suggest a thought.
00:35:05
Read your Testament. We read your Old Testament now with the line of the New Testament.
And so when we read the Gospels, we read the Gospel with the like of the epistles.
And we specifically were delighted with this is the apostle Paul.
So we have in this portion of what describes prophetic events and believe in connection with the establishing of his Kingdom. I believe he refers mostly to the character of the servant in that aspect in the king, because it's all responsibility. It's a question of how they've performed the responsibility because some are cast into weeping and gnashing of teeth. You know, believer is going to be cast in that because we did serve properly or didn't fulfill ministry or.
It's never to be called in question, so.
We could apply it and use it in that connection and that light, but I believe the Lord is addressing the responsibility as a servant his brethren that he refers to in chapter 25 that has been treated and you see, they're the ones that are going out in the Revelation chapter 712 Thousand from all the tribes. And there we immediately gone on opinions of the people and they're the ones I believe in that character are going to be brought into giving an account of themselves as to how they perform that service.
Just a little May in connection with, we kind of ran over quickly versus 32, three and four.
And it was mentioned about how the fig tree is a picture to us of Israel.
Israel became a nation in 1948.
Before that, it basically laid dormant for hundreds and hundreds of years.
And you notice here that it says the Lord is saying in verse 32. Now learn a parable of the fig tree. I take it the Lord is addressing what was to happen to that nation of Israel. So it says when his branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh, So likewise ye.
When you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the door.
Isn't that a picture to us of what the Lord looking ahead as to what was going to happen that the nation of Israel was going to be reformed again and our brother read, I think it was you Bill about over in Luke's it says when you see the fig tree and all the trees. So what happened? Well, a lot of nations taken sprung up.
And it's a picture and the Lord, it seems to me is, is, is telling the Jews this at that time.
That this is what was going to happen in the future and and to know that his coming is near. That's the hope that is brought before. We don't look for that. We're looking for the Lord to come from heaven for us to take us up. But this is for the Jews, is it not Him? I got the right thought with this.
Believe that's right. There's no knowledge what he's saying and there have no sign to be looked for the stars in the sky. And so for us, no sign is to be looked for before the coming of the Lord for us. But we see the foreshadows of things. Israel might be cast out of the land again.
They might be regathered again, They might be cast out again. There might be a confederation of the nations called the European Union today. There might not be tomorrow.
But when this takes place, they're going to be back in the land. And when this takes place, there will be a confederation of nations that form that final Gentile power called the beast. That will happen. And so we see these things take place in their foreshadows to us. We know that those things are coming. And but for the Christian, we don't look for those things to say. Well, now we know the Lord's coming as near. But for the Jews.
00:40:10
There to understand that the Lord's coming is near. When that takes place the Lord gave a parable and and Matthew chapter 13 through Luke chapter 13 and.
He had spoken in the 12Th chapter of the need of repentance and of judgment, coming really for the nation, and then they told him about the Galileans, whose blood pilot mingled with their sacrifices, those on whom the wall of Siloam fell.
And what does the Lord tell him? He says, Do you think these were sinners above all the rest? Nay, except ye likewise repent, show all perish. Israel's blessing hinges upon their national repentance, even if just represented in a remnant. It hinges on their repentance. And the Lord gives this parable of a fig tree that didn't bring forth fruit and had to be cut down.
And Job speaks of a stump in the ground, though it looks dead. Through the scent of water will spring up again. And in the tribulation, through the scent of water, that nation, you might say, is going to spring up again, The branches tender. Why? Because God is working in the tribulation and through what they pass through to bring them to repentance, because their blessing hinges on repentance. They're going to bring start to bring forth leaves. But fruit isn't mentioned here.
In our chapter because that's not going to come until after the Lord comes, but when they see those things take place.
Really pictured, I think in that remnant. Then they know the coming of the Lord is 9 For us, we know these things are going to take place. So seeing Israel back in the land isn't a fulfillment of prophecy, but it's a fortune to us the things that we know are going to come.
But not one.
Word of prophetic scripture is being fulfilled right now. The Lord isn't interested, you might say, in Israel right now.
He's interested in his bride. That's where his treasure is on this earth. When it's his brides gone, he's going to take up his dealings with Israel again. The prophetic clock is going to be ticking. There's a website out there. Brother referred me to prophecy in the news and I kind of got a tickle out of it. You know, no, no prophecies being fulfilled right now. But you know, people like to bend all the news events and just make them fit prophecy if they can. It's not being fulfilled.
And so for us, I think, as a brother pointed out, yes, this properly really applies to the Jews learning this parable of the fig tree, the faithful remnant.
16 you think because the Lord said that means those terrorists in the same manner, and so part of the perishing is pilot and exclude some of them. And then the tower was still away that fell upon. And so the judgment from a hammock man, and the judgment from the Lord, when he comes from heaven as a law.
I was thinking the Daniel chapter 12, just what we have been commenting on verse two. Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Well that speaks of the national resurrection of Israel that we have been commenting on here, the nation.
Is does not seem to have any life at the present time, nationally speaking. We know that the Lord saves souls out of that, out of that system, but naturally they're going to be resurrected. It's going to be like a resurrection from the dead. Those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake. That's the national resurrection of Israel. And some to everlasting life. That's the Millennium and some to shame an everlasting contempt.
But I was thinking in our connection with our chapter that we must see that the church is a parenthesis in the ways of God.
Unless we see that, we're not going to understand these passages. The church is a parenthesis. It was not foretold in the Old Testament scriptures. There's no prophetic.
Delineation of the church period at all in the Old Testament. It was a revelation to the Apostle Paul not known in the ages before. Now in the dispensation of grace we understand the the purposes of God.
00:45:11
For for ourselves as part of the Church of God and so the parenthesis will come to an end when the Lord comes and when the rapture takes place. But during that parenthesis the the Lord is giving instruction here in chapter the end of chapter 24 into chapter 25. It's really a portrayal of the of the period of Christendom. Now there's profession there certainly, but.
Those who take the name of Christ are held responsible. They may take the name and and and even occupy a place of of responsibility in the in Christendom and not have divine life at all. And those are contemplated here, the Lord of that servant that shall come.
Shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, in an hour that he is not aware of, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. Those are not true believers at all, of course, but they are in the sphere of Christendom, therefore they bear the name of the Lord.
Really baptized to Christendom, therefore they are responsible and.
That is, that is the. You might say the.
The great house or the.
As we have in Matthew chapter 13.
The Kingdom of Heavens in its present character.
Please. Wonderful. Or could I say Boston?
That as we contemplate these future events the Lord Jesus tells us about, He speaks about them with such assurance as though they already happened. And it reminds me of what?
Falsehood with respect to the promise to Abraham, you know he speaks in Romans 4 and verse 17. How did God quickens the dead and he calls those things which be not.
As though they were well in a wonderful that by the power of God's Holy Spirit and His precious Word, is what we have in our hands. We can contemplate future events just as though they'd already have.
You know somebody said that.
Prophecy is simply history written ahead of time and I think we need to take the heart not to back up too much here, but in verse 35 I think it's a good verse to take to heart. 35 of our chapter the Lord says heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away, and I believe we have in our hands.
This afternoon.
We call it the word of God. I noticed the Lord Jesus here. He speaks about his words.
And I believe that every word he spoke very important and not one's going to fall to the ground.
That's why I feel it's important to.
Try to get a word for word.
Translation of the original. Now we hear about.
Dynamic translations and what they are, I believe is an effort to put into today's language.
A thought that's expressed.
But I believe by doing so, we're missing out on many words of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And every word of God is pure.
So we need to think about this. You know, it's been said, some of these translations, they're not translations, they're just interpretations.
But what I see here is the Lord is placing importance on His words.
Works.
Everyone is false. True.
34 is generated from the past, all these things fulfilled in the sand energy, a moral generation, unbelieving Israelites or representing award, and so on, the fine similar generation on these things.
00:50:17
And we know that so from the Lord's words himself.
The.
Previous chapter 23 The Lord calls them the serpents, you generation of Vipers.
How can you escape the damnation of hell? And then he says that upon you may come. Verse 35, all the righteous bloodshed on the earth from Abel and so on. That generation started with Kane. It's a generation that claims to be religious, to have approach to God, but it persecutes the true children of God. That generation shall not pass till all these things are fulfilled. And so it really is contrary to what has been speculated of generations of physical years and trying to make an application that way to these scriptures.
I was just thinking about the woman at the well and.
I believe themselves personally that the Lord has given us lots of indications to to know.
That the time is near for us to be going home for well when the woman is at the well.
That's in this.
And.
Verse 43. Well, go to verse 42.
Well, actually for a 41 and many more beliefs because of the because of his own word and and said unto the woman how we believe not because by saying for we have heard him ourselves and know that this is indeed the Christ the Savior of the world. Now after the days he departed them and went into Galilee and.
So he's gone back to the dunes here after two days. I mean that book, two days.
Two day subscription the monthly study on meditation on the.
Time period that Lord is going to.
That parent setting the time in 2008 around for 2000 years. I think we all know that.
Think we believe that is soul brother Bill in those two days of Scripture are real encouragement to us and yet those two days of Scripture I would not count them as prophetic or that prophecy is being fulfilled that remains in advance, but they are there for our encouragement, aren't they?
The Second Thessalonians there and chapter 2.
And we know the following way has happened and worth, I would say we're really close to the end of the falling away. I mean, you can try to pass some of you attract on the street. They will not take it. And you can hardly even talk to people with the water because Christmas has fallen away. And it's just so very sad. I know third world countries that are standing in line. They take tracks from your hand, you know, But where they've heard the message over and over and over again, it becomes so hard.
And.
They just we know that we're near the end because of the evil, the great evil and I believe the Spirit of God, God of involves us, lets us know that it is time to go home. It's getting very, very close. Nothing to do with processing prophetic scriptures at all, but.
Verse three in Thessalonians Second Thessalonians chapter 2. Verse three. Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come, except their comma falling away 1St and then.
The Son of Perdition and then if you go down to verse seven for the mystery of iniquity has already worked, only he's not letters for that until he'd be taken out the way. And I do believe that when the Spirit, when the Spirit of God gives up a territory, even takes it over, the Spirit of God never goes back to take it back. He gives it over to Satan and we can see that it's not going to go back. There's not going to be any great revival. I don't believe in Christendom and we know that it's very near, very close.
00:55:16
Very close.
So the expectation to the faithful and wise servant is to be waiting for the Lord, and in the meanwhile he's occupied with what's precious to the Lord, how occupied with his own things. He doesn't have a title, He's not chief Butler or anything like that. He's just a servant in the Lord's household. And what's he busy doing? He's busy feeding.
That which is precious to Christ, his own, He's busy giving us household meat. And what kind of meat? Meat in due season, that which is suitable for the present condition of that household. And so there's a practical application there for us. Not everything that we might know from Scripture may be suitable to bring out at a certain time, but there's that which is suitable, that which is meat and season.
And.
This servant is not only faithful to the Lord, but he's wise. It takes wisdom to be in that household of faith and give meat that's appropriate, suitable food, that which is really going to sustain his own. And so that's what he is occupied with in the Lord's absence, watching, waiting. But here's one who says.
Not my Lord isn't coming, but my Lord Goliath is coming. He's putting off the Lord's coming. He's saying it's Oh yeah, it's coming. He's coming his way out in the future somewhere, someplace off in the distance that I don't have to really worry about it or think about it. And what is the result in his heart where the thought of the Lord's coming is really lost?
The true character of ministry in that house is lost too.
The Lords coming for his own. And so that first servant, he's serving the Lord in the light of his coming and making sure his own are fed and cared for. But this other servant has put the thought way off. He loses that true character of ministry, and he even begins to be critical fault, finding, beating those other servants, misusing them. He settles down and takes part with those who are.
Finding their pleasures in this world intoxicated with the pleasures of this world drunk. They that be drunk are drunken in the night, unaware that the Lord is really coming and he has a portion that's going to be appointed him.
And that's to be a portion in eternal destruction and eternal judgment. He's going to be cut asunder. And so the Lord wants us to be, in whatever capacity He's given us, to seek to be an encouragement and a help and defeat and sustain in any way we can, that little household of faith. Now that's different than what we have. We didn't read that portion yet.
Of the servants later in Matthew 25 there you might say it's more going out with the Gospel. Evangelization perhaps is more the picture where here it's more service in the household of faith. And so it's good and wise are the character or faithful and wise the characteristics of the servant there, but later on it's faithful and good.
Why? He's going out with the gospel.
Displaying the goodness that's in the heart of God to lost and ruined man. But wisdom is what is needed in the household of faith to give those portions that are so needed to sustain souls. One doing that, one occupied with that service, the Lord says he'll make him ruler over all his goods. He's got a wonderful reward in the Kingdom for one who's occupied in that service.
The one ministers understands the truth and has an understanding of the times. I was thinking of that verse in First Timothy, chapter 4. The exhortation of Paul to Timothy his son in the faith. Chapter four. First Timothy verse six. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ.
01:00:14
Nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast detained all right energy was necessary that Timothy should understand the truth. He had to be nourished up in the words of faith. That shows that there had to be a devotion and an energy to understand the truth. Not only the Old Testament, but.
The present truth that God has given to the Church.
He needed to be fortified and acquainted with the truth by diligence, study, and that's how we use nourished stuff in the words of faith. That's how he can be a wise and faithful servant as we have in our chapter here. But I think this is all part of the Kingdom of heaven. You know, from the 13th chapter of Matthew right on to the 25th, you have a, a series of parables.
About 10 parables and they all have to do with the the Kingdom of heaven and for for the young people we might just.
Backtrack here a little and say that the Kingdom of heaven is not heaven itself, and the Kingdom of heaven is the rule of the heavens in the person of the Son of Man. But it's not manifest now. It's in mystery at the present time. What is the Kingdom of heaven now in in the in the teachings of Matthew? Because it only comes in the Gospel of Matthew.
The Kingdom of Heaven is the sphere.
Where the Lordship of Christ is acknowledged outwardly, and this is Christendom as we see it today. It's becoming more and more corrupt. But the Kingdom of heaven is where the Lordship of Christ is outwardly acknowledged. Therefore the responsibility is much greater. And so this is a parable of the Kingdom of heaven.
And inside the Kingdom of heaven are baptized Christendom. We might say there are professors. It's like the great house. There are clean vessels and unclean. It's a it's a mixture. It's.
It is confusion. The Kingdom of heaven is now composed of everyone who takes the name of Christ upon that.
But within that Kingdom of heaven there is reality and this is what the the Lord is Speaking of here in verse 45, that we're looking at those who are truly servants of God amidst that confusion around us.
To minister the truth in its purity and its integrity, for the blessing of the Lord's people. And then the reward is assured. Here it's a Kingdom reward. In fact, rewards are mostly connected with the Kingdom, perhaps entirely connected.
With our position in the Kingdom, when the Kingdom of heaven will no longer be in mystery, it will be in manifestation when the Lord comes to establish His rule of righteousness in the Millennium.
We want to make sure we don't lose sight of the position that God has brought us into.
Through the Lord Jesus.
The question in the end of chapter 24.
50 The Lord of that servant will come today when you look at none for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, and shall cut him asunder and appointed his portion of the info, Chris, there shall be reaping in action and peace, and so with the service, with the talent.
Which it says in verse 29, For everyone that hath shall be given, and shall have abundance, but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
And cast me, the unprofitable servant, into our doctrines. There shall be weeping and national fee. And so we have to be clear that the discourse of the Lord is the evaluation of service.
01:05:10
The lawyer wants you to be a good servant, but he's made you to be a child of God. And so this is not the judgment of the children, it's the judgment of the surgeon. And if you're a child of God, not to.
Should disqualify us for any measure of service, but that is never going to change. It's based on the Ortiz and there's reward connected with faithfulness and lost reward connected with but you never lose the fact that God is your father and that your childhood God. I want to mention that because these verses I just begin the day before are often used in the counter to bring doubts in the hearts of the believers that the Lord's judgment and entities into blessing is based on your performance or mine. It's not. It's based on the word of Christ. And so the one that magic seven said yeah, we're not prophesied in my name. Have we not cast out demons in my name.
Have we not done miracles in thy name, or says, I never knew you? It's what they did for the Lord that they're bringing to him, what we bring to God and what the Lord has done for us, and nothing can change that.
Perhaps the next portion in chapter 25 gets more to the root of that. We find that mixture of that which is real and that which is not. But there is not an evaluation of service. The picture given to us is whether there was oil in the vessels or not, whether there was the real possession of the Spirit of God, which as was brought out to us as consequent upon believing real believers and those who just make an empty profession.
So this.
Portion in beginning with chapter 25 of the Virgins is a little history of professing Christendom. We get a these 10 virgins that go forth to meet the bridegroom. They the early that early company at professed Christ went out separated from this world outside the camp of Judaism, they went out.
To be watching for the return of the Lord. You think of the Thessalonians Saints, they turn from idols, they turn to God from idols to serve the living God and wait for his Son from heaven. That's what characterized those early believers. And so they all went forward to meet the bridegroom. But five were wise 5 foolish. There's some that are real, some that are not, but they all says slumbered and then.
Slumbering starts first, doesn't it? You get sleepy and then you fall asleep. And that's what happened, that they gradually really lost the hope and the expectation of the coming of the Lord, which is taken up in the first parable. They lost that expectation. And here it is coming as a bridegroom, non connection with reward for service. A whole different motive is presented here. It's himself and.
That profession of Christianity, all real and unreal alike, fell asleep as to that expectation. And so even in the very earliest Church Fathers, in their writings, you'll find they lost that truth. Someone asked Mr. Darby about reading those early Church Fathers writings. You know, from the 1St and 2nd century, He said I stopped.
Just can't find hardly anything that really fully comports with the Apostles doctrine.
They lost that early on and they slumbered and then slept, but finally there is a cry that goes out.
Behold the Bridegroom that cometh because it's himself that's the object. And it was many hundreds of years before the truth that the Church's true hope that the true expectation of Christianity was the personal return of the Lord for his own as bridegroom for the bride and.
When did that take place? It was really the early 1800s when that cry went out and that truth was recovered and there was a general awakening as to that hope among believers. Before that it was a hope that if I die, I'll go to be with the Lord in heaven. And that was it. It was a hope and death, not in life, but now that went out. That cry went out and go ye out to meet him. And so there is an flurry of activities.
01:10:03
To to respond to that crime that went out and there was a flurry of activity that took place, real and not real around the time of the recovery of that truth. And some of the great cults in Christianity Today rose at that time, false cults, Satan dot dizzy 2 our times out. But perhaps we can.
We sing together hymn #300 and 10310.
Heather oh how by the thought was anywhere thy son reapers.
Again.
And our church is dreadful, as I say, Lord.
That is in the cloud rain.
Right, Father, How we.
The choice to contemplate.
By purposes and councils with respect to this world and think of how to step plans for Israel.
Loved of thee, you think of how there will be this restoration of Israel in the coming days to enjoy blessing here on earth.
Think of nations who that will be brought to.
Ondi is Sword of Lords, King of Kings.
And you could how the whole world could be filled with knowledge. The Lord is the waters covered the sea. So would you rejoice as we contemplate the future?
We think particularly.
Of what our portion is to, and we think of our Lord Jesus.
Thou wilt come perhaps today and descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, the trump of God, And we think of how the dead are going to be caught up, and then we return lives and remain caught up together with them to meet the Indian heirs. So we thank you for this right and blessed prospect.
And we know, our Father, that I desire in all of this is that thy Son should be exalted. I was given him a name which is above every name. And we thank thee that all will be gathered together in one. Heaven and earth exalt that Blessed One. So we do thank thee for this sweet kind of fellowship.
01:15:23
In thy word.
Whereby we encourage one another and magnify thy name, Lord Jesus, and we think of the basis of all the blessing.
The workout is to accomplish there at the cross of Calgary. We thank thee that by faith we can behold the Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world. We thank you to know we've been redeemed that was corruptible things. A sovereign golfer with the precious blood of Christ has ever a lamb without blemish without spot. So our Father, we just commit our way to thee now and.
Continue in my presence.
And thank you for liberty that we have together as we do, and for the kindness of our brethren to invite us to be together in this way. And so we acknowledge all my goodness. There's many ways to get the art, lengths and praise.
Precious and worthy names are soon come, and Savior, Lord Jesus, Amen.

Are you walking daily by the Savior?
Are you born in the world?
You restrictions while men in the frequency are you watching the blood of the land?
When the bridegroom comes, will your wall see why you're?
Going to be ready for the mansion straight. And he was in the blood of the man.
Who are you in the world?
Of this earthy way as well. Are you watching the blood of the land?
So I pray together.
Blessed God, our loving Father, we thank you so much for the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of sinners.
We thank thee, our God and Father, for that great love that caused thee to give thy Son the Lord Jesus Christ. And this evening as we gathered together here, we just pray that.
Thou will impress upon the hearts of each one of us, particularly the Speaker, the preciousness of the blood of the Lamb, and to be washed in that blood which was shed to cleanse sinners from their lost condition, from their sins.
Lord Jesus, we just pray that there would be the realization and recognition that those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ are on the broad Rd. that leads to destruction. We pray this evening that there will be a response to that message, not because of the individual speaking, but Lord Jesus that thou will move to the Holy Spirit of the hearts of any that are not saved.
That the speaker would be simply a vessel, a channel from myself. Lord Jesus, and pray thee that thou will bless thy word, for we ask it in Jesus name, Amen. Amen.
I'd like to sing another song.
Perhaps.
Because on the Backpage one for the children. That said, I'd like to say #41 just two verses, the 1St and the last verse.
Around the throne of God and heaven will many children sing children whose sins are all forgiven. Will heavenly anthems bring singing glory, glory, glory be to God and #41 The first and last verses only.
Round the throne of God, and thrilled in your friends and everything children at the same time.
00:05:08
The constant singer shame is one good word of sin.
Glory.
Glory, glory, glory.
There are many here this evening who know the Lord Jesus Christ is safe. I don't know everyone of you, but as I look over the audience, I know there are many here that know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and have confessed me like I sometimes do. I stopped a few of the young ladies in the hallway.
People and I said, do you think there's anybody here that's not saved? You know what they said? I really don't know.
I stopped and talked to a couple of young brothers.
Told me that they were saved and I asked them the same question and they thought about it. They said, not sure, but probably. So we're here tonight for one purpose, to speak about the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of sinners. And there's an interesting story that I've always enjoyed. Maybe I've told it too often, but I'd like to read.
And 2nd Kings chapter 5 about a guy who had the title of Major General. I'm taking some liberties when I say that, but we'll call the Major General Naman. Let's start reading in the 5th chapter of Second Kings verse one. Now name and captain, the host of the king of Syria was a great man with his master and honorable because by him the Lord had given deliverance on to Syria.
He was also a mighty man in valor, but he was a leper.
And the Syrians had gone out by companies and had brought away captive under the land of Israel a little me. And she waited on me and his wife.
As he said unto her mistress, Would God my Lord, were with the prophet that is in Samaria, for he would recover him of his leprosy. And one went in and told his Lord, saying Thus and thus, say the maid, that is in the land of Israel.
And the king of Syria said, Go to go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed and took with him 10 talents of silver, 6000 pieces of gold, and 10:10 changes of raiment. He brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Not On this letter is come unto thee, Behold, I have therewith sent name and my servants to thee, that thou mayest recover him.
Of his leprosy. And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he read his clothes, and said, Am I God to kill and to make alive, that this man doesn't send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? Wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how we seek of the quarrel against me. And it was so when Elijah the man of God, had heard that the king of Israel had read his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hath thou read thy clothes?
Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. So name came with him with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the House of Italicia. And Elijah sent a messenger of him saying, Go and wash in Jordan 7 times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. Dallnaam was wroth and went away and said, Behold, I thought.
He will surely come up to me, and stand and call in the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. Are not a banner and far, far rivers of Damascus better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage, and a servant came near, spoke of him, and said, My father, if a prophet had been thee.
00:10:09
Do some great things. Would thou not have done it?
How much Wilder then when he saith they washed and be clean, then wet he down again like unto the flesh of a little child and he was clean. We'll stop there. You know there's a number of figures personalities mentioned in this portion that we've read in the first one is naming them on socially was a great man. Officially he was very successful and personally he was brave.
All sounds good, doesn't it? Sounds very good. That's the one. See in the world, we're looking for people like that. Ah, there's a ****** here. Really.
He was a leper, He was a Sinner. God's word tells us, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There isn't one young person, one older 11 Child who is not a Sinner. I'm a Sinner, I can tell you that. I'm a Sinner saved by grace.
I was saved about 70 years ago.
That's a long time ago. I was afraid of what was coming, but the Lord Jesus and His mercy saved me. I was brought up in the Christian home, so I knew a few things about the Lord Jesus Christ. I knew that sin was bad, and then I found out that I needed to do something about it. And that's what we're here about tonight. What are you going to do about your sins? It's been established in God's Word that all have sinned. There's none righteous.
No, not one.
All have sinned.
What are you going to do about it? You need forgiveness.
I'll tell you a little story. A year or so ago, a young man.
And his son?
And my wife and I were having dinner with this couple and this young man said to me, would you excuse me? My son and I are going to meet a lawyer, My lawyer, as a matter of fact, he said, and his son, we're going to have some time together. The lawyer was a Christian, too.
Well, they left and they said, sure, that's fine. About 10 minutes to the back and this young man's son came back to the dining room table and he was weeping. He put his head down the table and he wept. He wept. My son was pale in a sheet of paper. I said, what's the matter? Well, he said, we went out there, we were going to meet him and they weren't there. So I pulled the home and the son that was supposed to come with him.
It was on the phone crying too. Two of them were crying, he said. We can't come.
My daddy was just killed in the car accident.
Life at best is very brief, like the.
Falling in the league like the binding of machine. The entire this lawyer was great, well known, he was successful, he was brave. I didn't go to the funeral, but I got a tape of the funeral. There was young one young man don't have to speak at the funeral. And he spoke about this lawyer and he said, I want to tell you something very good interesting about this man. He said, you know, my wife and I were expecting our first child.
Was discovered that they were twins.
And the particular hospital, the normal, where everything seemed to be OK, I mean, something happened. They both died because of a mistake. He said, I went to this lawyer that's lying in this casket today. And I said, I want you to go out to the hospital and each of the doctors that were responsible and I want you to take them to the cleaners, everything they've got.
This man said. I saw him lean back in his chair in his box. Did he say anything for a few in this?
And then he said very quietly.
Do you think you could forget?
Do you think you could forget? I haven't seen too many lawyers, and I've seen quite a few of them who wouldn't give that kind of advice.
00:15:01
They put the clock on. There's money involved, he said. Do you think you could forget, my friend? You know what sins you committed in your lifetime, and you may not forgive yourself for these sins. You may be going on instead, right at this moment. Your thoughts may be somewhere else, but there's someone who can forgive those sins. And since you're a Sinner, you need forgiveness. Here was this man.
Naaman.
He had all the qualities that a successful man could have in this world. But then it tells us in the second verse that there was a little maid here. The army had gone in.
Doesn't tell us anything about men or women or property that they seized in this war, but all it says here they took captivity of the land of Israel a little made.
And she waited on layman's wife. She had no credentials. She had no name, or at least were not given her name. She had no home, no family, no money, no record. She was a no named Little.
It says.
Is one thing she did have, she knew the Lord, and I know that I could go down these rolls here and ask you whether you know the Lord that I'm sure that most of you would say yes. I wonder if some of you might say yes just to keep my mouth shut and not say any more.
I've had it happen in the gospel meeting where I've met somebody coming out the door, say, are you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ? Yes, I do. I accept them as my Savior. And in other words, have you? Yes, I've had another thing. I don't know what that means. And you know whether you're safe tonight. And if you're not safe, you're in a very, very dangerous position, very precarious.
But you know there's a Savior in the glory.
He's looking down tonight, He sees your heart, and He knows whether you are ready to admit that you're a Sinner and that you need the Savior.
We have about 45 minutes. I don't want you to wait 45 minutes before accepting Jesus as your Savior. I want to tell you how you can do it. God's word tells us if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, thou shalt be safe. Did you do that? Well, you may say, I, I, I might, I should go back to my room, Maybe. No, no, no, no. You don't have to do that. That's not a good plan.
Do it right now, except Jesus as Savior. If you feel the Holy Spirit working in your heart, turn to the Lord. Turn to the Lord.
She used the Lord.
When my wife and I were flying out yesterday, we were sitting, I have a, I have 1/2 hour. I'd like to get to the airport at least an hour, couple hours ahead of time for an hour so that I can sit down and watch the people rush by and sit down and enjoy the quiet cup of coffee while people are messing around. Well, anyway, we were, there were three people that were being called by the agent that they were to report right away and they gave warning after warning after warning.
And I saw the agent just looking around the crowd sitting, sitting in the in the Torah airport. He didn't come Finally see him say, well, we got we got to go. The next thing I knew, I was looking at the window and they were shutting the door of the aircraft. And they don't have any maternal for this one. If we're sitting outside, we could clearly see it. And the doors were shut. The plane started up and the young lady came rushing up.
He just says sore it's too late.
It's too late.
I would hate to see you tonight in a situation where you leave this room and perhaps never get to you destination.
And define those too late. It's too late.
Two well, another 5 minutes, we're fine. Two guys came rushing up.
You know, it started to argue.
What are you going to do, planes, take it off?
Arguments won't work, my friend. If you're arguing tonight that you're pretty good, think again. There is none righteous. No, not one. All have sinned. Come short of glory of God. These fellows, one of them at least I believe, is arguing too late. And you know the Lord Jesus Christ is coming. Did you know that? We'll talk about that in just a second or more.
00:20:19
That says in the fourth verse that one heard, one heard.
That are saying thus and thus said the maid that is in the land of Israel. What does she say verse three would God my Lord were with a prophet that is in Samaria for he would recover him of his leprosy. What a beautiful gospel message that was. She was a little evangelist. She was a little evangelist.
She knew the Lord Jesus and I would like to think that she was taught this by her mother and dad who were no longer in the picture. She knew about this and she was concerned. Before this gospel meeting, there were about 12 or 13 of us in the little room off to the side that.
Was reserved for us to pray you know I wish each one of you could have heard what was said there were prayers going up for you. Are you listening tonight my friend young person order place were you listening there were prayers going up and we get promises that there would be prayers continuing throughout this meeting therefore you.
We're sitting down having a meal, another brother, myself with our wives. It was an older lady sitting at the table and.
She.
Doesn't know the Lord's safety.
So we said, you know, we'd like to see you in heaven with us. It's so nice to be with you to have a meal, but we'd like to see you in heaven. Just let ought to be boring, the other brother said, Well, you want to go to the other place.
There's only two places. God's Word on the authority of God's Word. There's only two places. There is no in between places.
That is a.
Story of the Devil.
You would like to say, oh, that's not that's not true. That's not going to be don't listen to that. Listen to God's word. This word is the truth. It's God's word and he speaks through his word to you. And I trust that the channel that's presenting this is a clean channel and will present that very thing well.
You know that person is older, still is not safe, but an interesting thing happened. You know she was in the grocery store.
She told her I should mention that she told us that when you guys stop praying for me. She was in the grocery store picking up some groceries and said something to the lady behind her. And Melissa, well, the Lord has given us the two. Wonderful.
I said to this brother, isn't that nice that this happened? She was angry. You're getting to her. You're getting to her.
Lord's working there. Now, is there somebody here that's struggling and saying, no, I don't want that. I've heard that many times, but just hearing it isn't enough.
Well, in the fifth verse we were noticing.
The king of Syria said, go to go and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed and took with him 10 lbs of silver, 6000 pieces of gold and 10 changes of rating. Here was a very important man. He said, I'll send you a letter.
You know, if I could send you a letter and guarantee that you'd be saved, I would be delighted to do that.
Why that is not going to save you, but there is a letter here that we'll see.
Solution is there.
The prescription is there.
And so this man said, I'm going to send you a letter. You know, my wife and I just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in June, and something very interesting happened as our children were gathered together and our grandchildren who were with us this occasion, he presented me with a gift.
A framed certificate from our Prime Minister, Mr. Harper.
What a thrill.
What a thrill. But, you know, it doesn't matter how many letters Mr. Harper sent to you or to me or to anyone else, that will not save you. I would Add all that he is a Christian. That's a wonderful thing, isn't it, to have somebody in power that's a Christian. But we won't get into that part of it here. There was a support for this man. There was a favor that was going to be extended. And you know, we read in Matthew about.
00:25:23
Two judges that were standing and trying to figure out what they would do with Jesus and you know, they, they, they couldn't do anything about it.
But they knew something that tells us there was for envy. For envy that they brought him in here because the testimony that was given.
Indicated there was nothing.
Run with this man Jesus. Jesus, the thief on the cross said when he was converted. This man has done nothing amidst or wrong, the centurion said. Surely this is a righteous man.
All there's much testimony to that.
And, you know, the judges knew it too. They knew it too. But they decided that what they were going to do, they were going to compromise and please the people. You know, that's what's happening today. Unfortunately, that happens in every level of life, and particularly in politics. There's a desire to suit a certain number of people that will.
Bring in the bullets.
But anyway, what happened said there was interesting what they all brought out there for the fifth verse. It mentions that he took with him 10 talents of silver, 6000 pieces of gold, 10 changes of rain. Some of you people are good with figures. Could could tell me how much that's worth the amount of money when you think of all that gold and the price of gold today.
You know what reminds me of the 10 commandments?
Here there were 10 talents of silver. I can well recall the man in our office saying years ago said, well, you know, Norm, I I keep the commandments. All I said is Hedrick, you sure? Yeah, Yeah. So I said, well, there's one there that you probably haven't kept. And I quoted it and he said, well, maybe 1-2. I said, no, It tells us in God's word.
That if you're fed in one point.
You're guilty of the whole thing. One point.
You have many citizens, I have many sins, but if you have only one sin, Jesus had to die.
And so he died for sinners, He died for me, he died for you. And here they were bringing all this, these gifts.
10 Changes of clothes Word tells us all your righteousnesses are as filthy rags. And I was thinking this evening as reading this account in Isaiah 55 And one Oh, everyone that thirsteth come ye to the waters, And he that hath no money come ye by, and eat ye ye come.
Buy wine and milk without money.
Without Christ.
Without money, without Christ, eternal life.
Is there a cost of connected with it? Yes, there is a great cost. It costs God, his Son. You know, the Garden of Eden, the story we all know so well.
Man and woman disobeyed God. Very simple thing that they were told not to do. There was one tree in that garden that they were not to eat from.
What they do?
God had to cast them out of the Garden of Eden.
Because they disobeyed. It's a big deal. Big deal. They were disobeying God. That is a big deal.
Disobey God.
And you continue to dissipate your life and you pass it to eternity. You'll find out just what big a deal it is because God as a judge will have to say that you depart from me, the workers of iniquity. I never knew you. I never knew you. There's a lot of people that may say, well, yeah, I know about it. Yeah, you may know about it.
00:30:04
In this great wonderful country of ours in Canada, a lot of people that know about Jesus, but you know, we have a Sunday school in a, in a very difficult part of the city of Hamilton.
In all those poor kids there, they hardly know who their dad is, sometimes don't know who their mother is. They come to Sunday school because they like the attention. But it's more than that. Suddenly the name Jesus has some meaning. Suddenly they realize that they need to be saved. Suddenly they realize that there are those that love them.
And so some of them come to know Jesus to Savior many years ago in this little hall that has been there for probably 85 years, he came running up the stairs, he said. Mr. Hebert.
The Angels are having a party for me tonight. He knew what parties were all about. You know, he was saying his name is Bryce. I haven't seen him for years. You're sick.
He came of the tracks and of the grime and of the dust and the multitude of sins, and he was saved as hell. Many others.
The king couldn't do anything.
But you know, tells us and look at 2028, it tells us there were two guys.
They suddenly became friends. They were political enemies.
And they both were going in the wrong direction. And so they he came, they were both going in the wrong direction.
They yielded to the public opinion that Jesus should die. What did Jesus do? What did he do? Somebody mentioned it today in the meetings this morning, I believe they said.
They spit on.
They beat him above the head. They put a crown of thorns on his head.
They lashed his back. He was bleeding. They nailed him to the cross of Calvary by his hands and feet. Then they raised that cross up between heaven and earth and summed it in the ground. What would you do if you'd been treated that way?
Would you argue?
Would you think that's right? I'm sure you don't.
Jesus did it for you, He said on the cross. Father, forgive them.
For they know not what they do.
Do you know what you're doing? Young people, children, I want to talk to you for just a second. You've gone to Sunday school, you've gone to young people's meetings, you've been to prayer meetings.
You know it all, but the critical question is knowing it all. Have you ever come to the foot of the cross? I said Jesus.
I'm a Sinner.
I'm a Sinner. I need to have my heart cleansed.
My father-in-law, Tom dear, who's with the Lord?
Many years ago we were visiting, we were there for the family and while he was there he went to the dry cleaners and he put in his suit and he said I'd like to pick it up tomorrow morning. And he went and picked it up and, and on the soup was a piece of paper pending.
And.
The note said the dry cleaner fixed on the suit jacket said the one said I want Jesus to wash all our sins away.
On my voice.
The dry cleaner sauce. He was able to clean the suit.
He wasn't able to wash his sins away. That Lord got into the suit jacket by accident, but I think the Holy Spirit allowed her to be there so that the person who was cleaning the suit would read that.
If I'm emotional about it, there's a reason for it.
Because he accepted Jesus as a savior, because he wanted the dirt all washed away. You say, oh, you know, you're talking very simple things. Yes, that's true. But accepting Jesus as Savior is a very simple thing. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. That's a promise. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
00:35:04
No matter what, good work, honest work will save you.
But you need to have the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior. And so I asked you, I beg of you, my friend, to think about that. If you're not saved tonight, you're in a very dangerous position. Because before we hit the the hour here, it could be that the Lord Jesus Christ is going to come and this room is going to, I was going to say empty. Will it empty or will you be left behind by you young boys?
Young girls, older people.
Do you know Jesus as Savior? I can at the moment think of anything worse than sudden since the roof empty. Don't get that that's a fantasy.
All right.
Well, you know, in God's Word tells us.
Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also me and my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you I'd go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself. That where I am, there He may be also. That is that most words he was saying to his friends.
God's Word tells us further. We read this, read these verses often in the funeral.
A dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught with the Lord, shall caught up in the air to meet the Lord, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. And then the last verse says where? For comfort one another with these words. Boys and girls, what would you do if mommy and dad was suddenly weren't here? The room empty? Are those words that comfort to your heart? God has left them there for us so that we can be comforted.
Verse 8.
Verse 7.
The king was angry. He tore his clothes, he says. Am I God? My God?
There are men today, and some women too.
Will pretend to be God.
Give some profound messages.
Which is the more some of them are not giving the truth of the word of God. They're adding a little bit to it. You have to do certain things.
So that you can come to heaven. That is a lie of the devil. He's the father of all lies.
And so in the eighth verse, as we were noticing, the king says, Now when this letter comes unto the behold eye, up there with St. Naaman.
And then, as we've read, Am I God to kill, to make alive, that this man does send them to me to recover a man of his leprosy.
He couldn't do anything. There wasn't anything he could do. Leprosy was considered an incurable disease.
The New Testament speaks How about one man who is safe from leprosy? Well, we'll get into that in just a minute or two.
This man knew his limitations.
So does this man. I can't see you.
You, you, you. I can't see you.
Savior. But there's someone who can. It's a little Jesus Christ. He can save you, and all you have to do is turn to. Just like my son said, I want Jesus to wash all the dirt away.
The dry cleaner could clean the suit but couldn't clean his heart. He accepted Jesus as Savior.
Well, when Elijah, the problem, a man of God, heard about the what the king had done.
He, he said, When life is a man of God, heard that the king of Israel had right his clothes that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy goals? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
You know, Matthew tells us, Come now, let us reason together, save the Lord.
If you're not saved.
Don't wait until the end of the meeting. The Lord Jesus hasn't come before the end of the meeting.
00:40:01
Maybe we can reach them and point you to the scripture.
This is critical stuff that we're talking about. We're living in a terrible world.
We're sinning out.
Were things that in my generation, earlier generation, people would blush. Now they do it openly. You know what I'm talking about. It's all there. It's all there. It's all there and you know it. You've seen it, run into it just driving down the street. Billboards.
The lust of the eye is there, the desire of the flesh is being broadcast without any hesitation.
And the powers that be are limited as to how much is allowed. If the pressure is green enough, maybe few things are are stopped.
But you know what's going on, and the Bible tells us we shouldn't be surprised. In the last days, difficult times shall come. Difficult times. You know, there's a lot of difficult times. I see them.
I see them.
Well, so finally the name, let me get on his cherry, lovely cherry, the limousine, if you can put it that way, nice horses. And is that entourage and he appears at the door of this man of God.
Making it greater.
See, lots of people like to make impressions.
The Lord Jesus would like to make an impression of you. Change it. So we appeared in front of this this door and stood at the door of the House of Elijah. What did Elijah do? This is a great guy. I mean, he's a Major General. He's got medals all over him. Then he go out and say, oh man, did you ever do a great job in that war and and you defeated the enemy and you and and and and on and on and on. No, we didn't even, he didn't even leave his study.
Here's what he said.
He came, he gave him a very brief prescription which you can read. It's not scribbled like some doctor said to scribble, said to generalize because I don't have a great handwriting. But this was a very clear message.
Go and wash in Jordan 7 times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
That's difficult.
Oh told him everything. He told him where to go. He gave the name of the river. He told him how to wash seven times. Very clear.
Well, you know.
Jordan speaks to us death.
And there's got to be the death of the flesh. You need to be born again. You can be born again by accepting Jesus as Savior. And when you're born again.
You're part of the heavens of God, just like Bryce come charging up the stairs from the downstairs from the sunny Scott. The angels are having a party for me, all the four. It's a wonderful thing to be seen to think that the angels of God in heaven will rejoice for every Sinner that comes to know him a Savior.
But you have to follow that instructor.
You know, this guy wasn't, he was a, he was a mighty man, but he, he didn't have his emotions under control. He was it says Rock.
I think that's even worse than just angry people just burn. Grinding his teeth and clenching his fist, he said. What's with this guy didn't even come out and wave his hands over me?
Sorry, he didn't. He told him what to be seen.
Can't save you.
What the Lord Jesus can, but you have to come God's word, Thomas, come unto me, all me that way, and our heavy lady, and I will, as I say I might, I will.
Wraps.
Sometimes they're very tight. Play the story.
I'm retired in heaven for a while. You know I was so tired working many many long hours a days. Some of you are aware what that's all about. I was so tired that I even fell asleep in the dentist chair.
00:45:00
One day my wife and I are coming home.
Tight put the brake on handbrake and I said boy tell me when the light changed. I fell asleep topic. Next thing I know is horns blasting. My wife fell asleep too.
Much did you last?
I have to give you a rest.
And if you want to give me, give it to right now, right this minute, you can cry to the Lord.
You don't have to wait till you get to your bedroom, kneel and pray. That's nice too. But you can accept Jesus and save your right where you are sitting now.
And quietly called to him, tell him that you're a Sinner, that you need to be saved, that you're bad and that he wants that he that you want your sins. Simple, simple. The instruction here was simple gold wash Jordan seven time and the promise he gives it. He says here's the results.
Thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. I haven't seen too many prescriptions from doctors that will have that last phrase. Take this and you'll be cured. Work sometimes, sometimes it doesn't.
Of God, when he gives instruction, he carries it out to the end.
Well, it tells us he went away.
He expressed his thoughts, the white box, I thought, and that's the problem that a lot of us have. We think too much about these things, about how we can get around or how we can do this side or the other thing. Put your thoughts aside. Listen to the word of God, accept Jesus as your Savior.
I thought he will surely come and do all these fancy things and then he starts to negotiate.
He starts to negotiate. He starts to argue a little bit. He says what about the two rivers that are so nice and clean? There's the river called the.
I believe it means Sony.
Maybe it refers to ritualism. When you have a Stony river or the Muskoka Lakes, we have beautiful clean water. You can see the rocks right to the bottom.
You know that's not.
We had a river back in in western, at least in Manitoba it's called the Red River.
Put your hand in the water. Two inches full of water. You can see it.
You don't know what's under there.
And there were people that were probably seeing Jordan, this guy Jordan with my leprosy, with my reputation, with my medals, with the victories I've won, Jordan. And it wasn't the prophet that was argued with him.
What about Amanda Stoney? Ritualism, he said. Whereard Parker. It's a mean sweat. Oh, we like this action, so we swift.
That's rationalism.
You want to try and rationalize what Jesus did and why he did it? He ain't going to do it, my friend. You ain't going to do it. Pardon me for the bad grammar. Justice won't work.
I don't know why he saved me and not someone else somewhere else in another land. As some of you may know, I sent her a message every day called John Schmidt.
A couple of years ago I received a message from a young man and it was something like this.
You will never believe where I am right now.
I'm out behind.
In the armed forces, I'm buried in a trench and there's bombs going on around me, There's guns being fired. But I got a message today on my cell phone here and with your Jen. I just want to comment you for that because he said I don't know, but I'm going to survive. I never heard from him again.
Now what a thrill that is. It reminds me of a little.
Who said gave a message?
She was a little evangelist.
When you know something.
This man fortunately had some friends who were smarter than he was.
00:50:00
Reason with him. Look, if he had asked you to go out and fight that, get that bunch of guys out if they're hiding in the bushes and and annihilate them and you would have done it.
That will be much more difficult to do than to go and enjoy. I can still hear reasoning.
Wash and be clean.
Well, I might as well do it I guess.
Please pardon me if I extend this a little bit too dramatic. Just imagine saying go.
Unless don't like to admit it, we're wrong.
Don't want to admit that.
But you've got to get a little credit, so I'm going to do it. He went to that river and.
He dipped in the river.
Works, It works. One of those dipping experiences.
He looked at his hands. They were just as white as bad as they were before.
He drifts again. Second job.
And you know what we might consider that to be?
Oh, be popular.
Is that going to wash your sins away? Would that do the job for naming? Look, there's hands. He looked his body. They were still covered with leprosy. Sin, sin, sin was there. It needed to be dealt with. He thought of his riches as he went down the third time. Look at this. So I've got my medal, still got the money in my pocket.
But I've also still been.
Still got leprosy?
He dipped out again.
Forza, you know, I'm a smart man. I've done all these things. I've been able to, I've been able to maneuver, I've been able to do all these things that are necessary to get a victory in the army. That's a good quality. You need them. But the leprosy is still there toward its Had he done what he was told to do, he went down again.
You know something? There may be people here who've gone to church.
That's not going to save you.
But if you've gone to a church where the good news of salvation about Jesus Christ is being preached, that's good. But just the fact that you went down the street and went into the church, that's not going to save it.
I had a bargain long.
Who died few years ago at 80.
He had never, as expressions always darken the church stole. He didn't really want to participate in anything to do with Christianity. We had plead with him by letter. He lived quite a distance away. One day he was admitted to the hospital and my sister called and said he's not going to make it.
Die family heard some good news.
Instead, it's all in the hands of the Lord, just the way N put it in the letter or some such word.
80 years of age didn't have a chance to do very much. He was literally a newborn babe in Christ, but he was saved. But you have no guarantee that you're going to be able to wait till you're on your deathbed and have the opportunity of being saved.
Ernie did.
So anyway.
And I said, well, I've been a pretty good man.
I've gone to the synagogue or whatever it went. Probably not a synagogue, but some place where maybe God was mentioned or something was mentioned. Not good enough. He went down the 6th time. The elephancy was still there. Sin is still I am.
Young people, children, you go to Sunday school tomorrow morning, there's gonna be Sunday school here.
Just being in Sunday school isn't enough. That's a wonderful thing to have, to see children sitting in the front row and somebody giving them the gospel.
Have you done something about it, or have you just sung together? Jesus loves me this I don't. Beautiful song. It ain't good enough. He went down, came up six times.
00:55:11
He give up the leprosy was still there.
This dear man.
Went down the 7th time.
He did it in obedience to that which the prophet told he looked at his hand unclean, unclean. The leprosy is gone. And if you accept Jesus as Savior, your sins will be gone. They'll remove, be removed as far as the east is from the West, buried in the deepest sea, removed forever, never to be brought to your attention. Our young man appeared before me while I was working days he had he was appealing his case and we were talking to him and the security people said to me, well.
You know you're not going to like this, but this fellow is going to come in with two big guards, 6 foot six, 300 lbs and they're going to have shackles on his legs and he's going to have to be cuffed and, and he's going to come here and.
This case with his lawyer, I said.
I don't want any security, I don't want any shackles. I don't want any tough means. I don't need any of that.
He said, let me tell you know, I we don't agree with you. This man is tremendously strong. He's a good worker, but when he gets into some strong drink, he becomes extremely powerful. It took half a dozen police officers to subdue him. Thankfully, he didn't use any guns on him.
They had some union.
All right, you guys are the experts in the field. I just hope that I can talk to him and let you guys interfere. Yeah, go ahead. First thing I did, I went over to him and shook his hand.
He smiled. I said we're not going to be wrong, just tell me what you call this. Maybe 10 minutes, I said. Good.
I hope you have a good day.
I was able to do something.
What I did, it's not the sun. He was a bad guy, He was strong. I don't believe he knew the Lord Jesus to save it and have an opportunity to speak to him. But you know there was a way in which he could accept the tube, and that is by what the word of God tells us, that thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead. Thou shalt be sacred.
A couple of years ago, my neighbor Dave, who always walks his dog, beautiful cloudy dog, down the street, and he came over one day and said, no, my wife just died. My wife just died. Oh, I said come on in chat for a while. And he wanted me to do something from him beforehand with my computer. You know, computers are weird things if you haven't found that out. So anyway, he came in and talked. He wanted some pictures. He said he had two pictures of his wife.
Family, he said, what's your first information? Glad to do that I said I'll send it to you on e-mail. He came back about well maybe a week or so later he says, you know, Norm, I'm not much of A religious man and and these messages you're sending out to me are very nice, but I'm I don't really.
He said the stuff you said. No, dude.
I said, Dave, I'm sorry, but I don't know how that happened. Well, I did maybe.
You know what computers can do sometimes get away with you. But he was getting my chance.
I don't know that he ever was ever seen, but about a week after this man's late night, the neighbor right next to me was packing his truck out of his driveway, coming down the street. No Chris, that Dave's like.
At least your neighbors have not gotten along very well. He was very sore and said, you know, it's awfully important that when someone dies that they're prepared, that they're ready to die. And I can tell the truck was going into gear. He said, oh, well, he when I got the paper, do the paperwork and say, oh, it's not. It's not all finished. It's not all finished.
So anyway, I thought that would be the end of the story with Chris after having that conversation. But around Christmas time I was cleaning out my walk and your time is going. And anyway, he he came over, he says normally you go to church.
01:00:02
And do something. Would you pray for him? So my grandpa's died. Would you pray for him? I said I sure will. I sure will.
Privilege to pray for you. I don't know that he says yet, but he has a sick have a different a different attitude. I was so glad that he felt that he could ask me about this.
Just one quick point before we close.
In a while, Elisa told him what to do.
The man was violent and was upset. God's word tells him to wash me, and I shall be whatever himself. Wash me and I shall be white yourself.
But you know, this man came back and he confessed the Lord. He confessed to this man what had happened to him. His flesh was like the flesh of a baby. He was born again. He was sick.
And he went on his way, rejoices.
But first of all, only 100.
I don't want anything and you know something.
Your gifts or the gifts that you give for your salvation are nonsense, useless and unnecessary. This is a one way gift that God is offering. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that he's ever believed that Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God set my Son unto the world to condemn the world, but that the world was through him might be saved.
This prophet had a servant, his name was Gay side. He had been with him for many years. He saw all the things that the prophet had done. You read the earlier chapter, well a lot of things that he had done, but you know after a man is set away seeing the wealth of the Spanish Major General.
Part of his mind started working after he got on the way, he went after him, he says. You know what? My master had two guys that came here and needed some money. Would you do? Would you give him a talent?
Take two, take two, take it all back.
He came back, I'm, I'm Russian. When he came back, he went into him where he put this stuff out that he'd gotten and he said just Major General.
And why? She said. Where have you been?
What have you been? I saw you going after that man. I saw the stars and give you something.
Is it a time to receive money and to receive garments in all yards and vineyards and cheap oxen and man service and nature?
That's your objective.
Without Christ.
It'll all be burned up, used up.
Here comes the crunch last verse of that chapter. The leprosy therefore name shall be of thee and unto thy seed forever. And he went out for Mr. Presidents electrous latest if you're going to leave here in your sense.
You may never get another opportunity. God speaks once, speaks twice.
He walked.
Him being reproved, part of his neck shall suddenly be destroyed, in fact without remedy.
I can't make it. He stays, and I certainly can't say it, but the Lord can Come unto me, All ye that labor are heavy labor, and I will give you restless prayer. Bless his daughter, love her daughter. Thank you for that word.
Has given us all the instructions that we need.
We just pray that what is all that stuff?
Knocks anything other than that, but there's anybody that's debating is to whether they should save our God and Father. We plead with thee but thou the cause of young person and child, whoever they may be who they may be saved or Jesus. We ask him in thy name Amen. There was sin in the garden. Something had to be done. Jesus came into this world and he died and saved sinners.
Jesus of the Greater Jesus rose from the dead.
And Jesus is coming again, my friend.
Don't leave without accepting Jesus as Savior in a couple of minutes as we leave this room, it's going to get.
01:05:04
Making wishes to LeBron. See if anybody gets touched by the message that God gives me the word. If it can be abnormal, we would like to help you. But again, remember it's between you and the Lord.

Good answer that's close to what I'm.
What I'm looking for. So I'll ask you again, how do you ask for help?
You do that by.
What praying You do that by praying good answers, Very good answers.
Well.
I have to be honest that the more people that walk in the room, the more scared I feel and the more nervous I become.
OK, so let's close our eyes and we'll pray.
Our God and our Father, we thank thee for another Lord's Day. We thank Thee that thou has drawn us all here together this morning. We thank you for Sunday school.
Lord, we pray that Thou would help us with our voices this morning to be able to sing nice to thee. We pray that that would help us with our ears, that we would open them and listen.
And Lord, we pray that that would help us with our hearts too, that we would open our hearts, and if any here are not yet saved, they would ask the end of their heart to wash their sins away before it's forever too late.
Lord, we pray for a little message, too little story that it would be fitting for the little ones and and for us older ones too. So we would just pray for help with Sunday school. And I mean we pray Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
You know, I like doing Sunday school. I do it at our little assembly in Truro, NS Dale Stewart and I take turns every other week and. But there's only a few kids in the front row and there's only a few adults in the rest of the groups. And normally we sing 1St and then we pray and kind of something we've always done. But as I said, the more people walking in, I thought I'd better pray first. So let's sing some songs. Anybody on the back of the.
Gospel hymn sheet we have is children's songs and if there's any action songs you want to sing just let us know. Kaylie #47 on the back.

Now we're starting to get more children up here. This thing is good. You can almost sing all morning. But maybe we'll just sing one more sing #40 on the back of the sheet. OK, Jesus loves me.
Jesus loves me, the sign of for the Bible tells me. So careful unto him. They are weak, but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus calls me. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me.
The Bible tells me strong.
Jesus loves me. He who died heavens get to open wide. He will wash away my skin. Let a little child come in. Yes, she just loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
The Bible tells me so.
And he waits to make me glad, ways to hold me in his arm, keeps me safe from every heart. Yes, she translates me. Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, she's from slumps me.
The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me, loves me still when I'm very weak, and from his shining place on heart, he'll watch me where I live.
Yes, he talks lovely.
Yes, keys are swansy.
Yes, he's on slums. Me.
Tells me so.
Jesus loves me, He will stay close beside thee all the way.
If I trust him, should I die he will Take Me Home on high.
This is a slightly.
Yes, she's a slum sleeve. Yes, she translates me.
Tell me so.
That was really good singing.
We were talking earlier before everyone came in and.
What we would do if we were scared and afraid.
We had a few nice answers. It was prey we already prayed this morning.
You know there's a verse in Hebrews.
13 It says, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Anybody hear that Thunder and lightning last night? This morning?
I know Caleb did because he came out to visit me.
00:15:01
It was pretty loud.
You know, you can ask him for help for anything and he'll give it to you. I found out when looking at that verse that there's another verse in Joshua one and five. It says he will never fail.
Or leave thee.
So lots of times we'll have people promise to do things for us and take us places, and sometimes they don't show up or they might fail us, but the Lord Jesus will never fail us and never let us down, you know?
I had a bit of a bit of a rough summer. I had a sore foot, a sore knee and a sore ankle. I got a little bit down in the dumps a little bit.
And my wife was going to meeting on Tuesday night more than I was.
And while I went a couple weeks ago and.
And not that another brother hasn't told me this before, but this wise brother said to me, Sir Jonathan.
I don't know how many of you go to reading. You may say Jonathan, he said you need to go to reading meeting. He said. That's where you learn. That's where you learn about the Lord Jesus.
And you know, I thought being a little one like you guys, which wasn't that long ago.
I thought I had learned all these verses, and I thought I knew what I had to know.
But you forget.
And in Turo, we're reading an axe right now and this verse is stuck with me for weeks now.
In Acts chapter 20.
If you can turn to it, that's fine.
I learned this little verse when I was.
Maybe.
Caleb's age or.
Maybe Adrian's age?
Acts chapter 20 and verse 35 towards the end of the verse.
It says.
Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Is more blessed to give than to receive. You know, I went to reading meeting and I read that verse and I kind of think I'd forgotten about that verse over the years. Maybe I didn't stop practicing it, but I forgot the verse.
So it left off the page. I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what it means. It's more blessed to give than to receive.
Can anybody tell me what it means?
Caleb.
It's better to get give people things than to get them. Well, that's a good answer, but the Lord Jesus said it. So tell me this.
What has the Lord Jesus given you?
What's the Lord Jesus giving you, Jonathan?
He's giving you eternal life in heaven.
How did he do that?
He died on the cross. Very good in John 10, says my sheep hear my voice.
And I know them, and they follow me, and I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish who give us eternal life. And he did die in the cross. But we have to do something. What do we have to do?
Caleb.
Ask Him to wash our sins away.
Well, I did that when I was a little little tiny boy.
And I thought that, you know, I'd always stay close to him and he.
Give me everything and he'd look after me and but you know, sometimes we forget about it.
He doesn't forget us, remember, he said. I will never leave the NOR for safety, but sometimes we forget about him.
So we have to make sure.
That we're always thinking about the Lord Jesus and asking Him for help and praying to Him. He wants to give us everything. He'll give us eternal life.
In Matthew 11 and 28 verses.
Says, Come unto me all you that labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
And yesterday I think somebody spoke that he'll give us peace.
He gives us whatever we need here.
00:20:01
If we follow Him, He's given us an example that He wants us to be like Him. How can we be like Him anybody? How can we be like the Lord Jesus?
How can we be like the Lord?
Hannah.
By following the things he wrote in the book. What things did he write in the book and what book? The Bible?
What things did he write?
Anybody.
How to behave? I know our brother quoted a verse yesterday in Ephesians 4 and 32.
Be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. So we can be kind, we can be loving, we can be tender hearted, right? We can be all these things. And if we are, then we're giving, aren't we? We're giving like He gave.
That's what he wants to see from each one of us. You know, he loves us so much, I had to get.
Brother to help me yesterday with the verse just to make sure I was right, but in Proverbs chapter 8.
Not sure where to start, so I'll just start verse 30. Proverbs chapter 8 says Then I was by him as one brought up with him, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him, rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights were with the sons of men.
He's delighted with us, He loves us, He wants us to be with Him. He wants us to ask Him into his heart, He wants us to ask Him into our hearts, to wash our sins away so that we can go to heaven to be with Him. He says, Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children, for blessed are they that keep my ways.
For those things. And He's left for us the path. Blessed are they that keep my ways. All we have to do is follow that path. Sometimes it's not easy, but if we pray and ask Him for help, He'll help us to do it.
It says here instruction and be wise and refuse it not.
Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the post of My doors. For whoso findeth Me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the Lord.
Well, that's what we want to do is find favor with the Lord, don't we? We want him to be happy with us.
Now it says plaster blesses. He can't say it now for his more blessed to give than to receive.
And he is giving us everything and we are receiving everything. But you know.
In John 14 it tells us that.
He's going to come and take us again to be with him.
For a little time here, we live in this world. We're not here very long, you know.
Just telling somebody about a Sunday school demonstration that Brother Dale did in Truro not that long ago and he took this huge string. I don't know how long it was, but it was, it was really long. He got one of my boys to hold one end and take it all the way around the room and it was huge.
And then at the very end of it, he had taped off a little tiny piece of the string.
He said this here is your life.
The rest of that, as it came back, is eternity. That's forever. That's how long we are here. It's for a very short time. So while we're here, he wants us to do.
The examples that he's left for us, He wants us to show love to one another, but He wants us to praise Him.
He wants us to remember him, which, Lord willing, will do that this morning if he leaves us here. And that's what He wants us to do, even right from being children.
But in John 14 it says, Let not your heart, verse one, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
00:25:25
I don't want to change those words.
Mean anything different than what they are. But the verse we read is it is more blessed to give than to receive someday.
He is going to receive us and whether you believe it or not, we're going to be a gift to Him. He wants us to come to Him and He wants us to come rejoicing and praising Him.
He wants us to come.
In his courts of glory with praise. And we're going to give him all the glory. We're going to give back to him.
As much as what we can.
And he's going to receive us and He's prepared a place for us. But you can only get there if you've.
Done what?
What?
Ask the Lord to wash your sins away.
So our hope this morning is that all of you in the room have asked the Lord Jesus into your heart to wash your sins away.
Because he could come right now.
Right at this moment.
And all those that are saved will be taken up to him.
You wouldn't want to be left behind.
Because he loves you.
Now that's how scared I was when I started Sunday school this morning and I had to pray 1St and nervous because one of the first things I wanted to do was give everybody something because it was more blessed to give than to receive. But there everything still is on the table and I didn't give it out yet so maybe everybody can come up and.
Take a pencil and a.
Paper and.
Go ahead, Isaac. Come on up, Ava.
Come on up and take one, Caleb.
No, take one.
That's my son.
Come on up.
All kinds of colors here. And you know what's so nice about these pencils?
I went to the dollar store and I bought these funny looking pencils.
And then I walked down to Mr. Roofing Bookstore back here and he had all these nice pencils with verses on them and.
Boy, I'd like to have those for Sunday School. How much are they? Bethany says. Take them, take them. Now, I don't want to keep saying it over and over and over again, but is it not more blessed to give than to receive?
So very nice. So everybody come on up and get one little ones.
I don't want to see the older ones or the pencil and pad during the meeting.
So these are.
Well.
Maybe we can sing #42 on the back of the sheet?
Number 42 on the back of the hem sheet.
A little child of seven, or even 3 or 4.
May enter into heaven.
Through I see open door.
For when your heart begins on Christmas and on God.
Anybody like poems?
This is from our calendar page that we read probably a couple years ago and I kept it. I asked the kids that helped me with Sunday school. I said I do Sunday school and the conference and if you have any good ideas. I said write them down and tell me what they are. Nobody wrote me down.
00:30:16
But somebody said driving. I like it when you read the calendar pages.
This is one that I cabinet says Jesus is my best friend. He will never leave me.
I shall meet him in the end in heaven, where I will be.
With everyone who has received him, we'll all be together and see God the Savior, how I love him because He died for me, and just knowing that makes me happy.
It's as happy as that. People whose God is the Lord. Psalm 144 and 15.
He wants us to be happy.
Says in Luke to suffer the little children to come on to me. He wants us to come to him today. Oh, let's just close our eyes and pray.
God and our Father, we thank you again for thy love to us and we thank you for the little Sunday school time here. We thank you for all these little ones and helping with the questions and the answers. Lord, just pray that the message was understood and that each one is asked into their heart to wash their sins away. Lord, we just pray that they will keep us all looking to Thee and knowing that each one of us needs thee in our lives to let us come before we gain. Thank you for thy love to us. My name we pray Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Can we take our Bibles together please?
And open to the first book in the Bible, the 1St chapter and the first verse.
Genesis chapter one and verse one.
Just read the first verse in the beginning.
God created the heaven and the earth.
I just want to make a little comment in connection with this verse.
We read out of the English translation here was written originally in the Hebrew language.
The word for God.
In the Hebrew language here I believe is Elohim.
The word Elohim is plural.
I understand also I've heard this.
That Elohim is actually more than two, not just plural in two, but rather three. Brother Brian, is that right?
In the beginning, God Elohim.
Created.
The next word, the verb, the noun, the subject is God, plural 3.
Created.
And in the Hebrew created is singular.
00:10:03
The Triune God.
Created singular.
Oh dear friends, it means so much. You know this book that we have?
Is the His. It opens up to us beyond this life, beyond this world, and takes us into the secret councils of God.
You could read all the books in the in the library and study in school and philosophy in these various things, but if it is something that doesn't agree with this book, dear friends.
You're best to put it aside.
And here God would open his word and say to you and to me.
If you're trying to find the source of life, you're trying to find the source of this world that God would say in the beginning, God, he has a message in this book for you and me.
That he was there in a past eternity and he created the world.
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. I enjoy thinking of this book in this way that it it is a gradual unfolding of the mind of God to man.
It's wonderful to read because as we read it, we find out a little bit more and a little bit more and a little bit more.
Now if you go down with me, please to the 26th verse.
We find here.
The councils of God here, it says.
And God said, Let us make man in our image after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created him, male and female.
Created he them, and God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it, and so on.
Now to go back to that verse 26 again and God said.
Let us make man another reference to plural the councils of God were involved in the making of you.
Let us make man in our own image after our likeness.
Yes, God made you and He made me.
Now notice in the next chapter.
I like this verse, verse 7.
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.
And man became a living soul.
What I'm referring to when I say I like this verse. It's in this way that says he formed the Lord. God formed man with the dust of the ground.
You know, if you go down to a Potter. So we are on our way down here. We we stopped at a place where they made pottery and then Jeremiah tells us to go down to the House of the Potter.
Form and work there and you see them take and they and they form the pottery. They make the pottery, they design it the way that they want to design A particular piece of pottery, pottery.
Well, here it says, God formed man of the dust of the ground he made you.
He made who you are.
Your personality.
There's not two snowflakes alike, and there's not two of you.
And God made you, and he made you forever.
00:15:04
And he made you because he loves you and he wants you.
We'll find that out a little bit more as we go through this part. Do you ever think of do I have a purpose in this life?
You ever wonder why am I here? You ever wonder where I'm going?
All friends you can know.
You can have purpose.
In your life, you know, I was talking to a brother just within the last month or so. Tell you who it was, Ian hurled up at Hammer Bay. He was saying this. He said, you know, people in the world in general, they don't know where they come from. They don't know what they're where they're going, and they don't have a purpose in their life. Isn't it true? We're living in a mad world, you know?
People don't know know about how man was formed outside of this book. They don't know where they're going. It's a leaf in the dark.
And As for this life, people searching, not knowing what to do.
No mission in life, no purpose, hoping things will workout for the best as they're getting worse and worse in the world.
Dear friends, He made you. He loves you.
He wants your company in this world, and he wants you there forever.
I want to turn to.
Over to John's Gospel chapter one.
John's Gospel chapter one.
Verse 18.
Beautiful verse said by the Lord himself no man.
Has seen God at anytime.
The only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.
Tell you a little story about this verse. When I was a teenager, I was up in this town of Perry Sound. They used to preach the gospel on the corner.
And.
Where somebody that came by?
That didn't.
That didn't believe that Jesus was God.
And they were talking to our brother Gordon, and I was a silent listener.
And our brother Gordon quoted this verse to the person.
No man has seen God at anytime. The only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.
And her brother said to him, To this man, he said, God was both in heaven and on earth at the same time.
The only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father. In other words, He was there.
And he was there on Earth at the same time.
And he was declaring the father and this man said to our brother, he said that's quite a trick for somebody to do that.
And our brother Gordon said to him, If you're going to talk about my savior as a man that does tricks, I'm leaving you and not going to talk to you anymore.
And he left them left him there with that to think about it. But think of this verse, friends, the only no man has seen God at any time. That is true. God is a spirit.
But God sent his Son to reveal him, God himself.
So the only begotten Son, which was in the bosom of the Father, even when He was here in this world, was declaring who God was.
00:20:06
Now turn over, please, to Romans chapter 5.
And verse 8.
God commended his love toward us.
Now, while we were yet sinners.
Christ died for us.
One hardly knows how to talk about these verses beyond just reading them.
But think of God commending His love to mankind.
You know the verses in the Bible? Several verses. I'm sure most here would know several verses.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. It refers to you and me.
And God commanded his love toward us. When we were sinners, Christ died for us.
He didn't look for a time when man was going to.
Improve himself and make himself more suitable for the presence of God.
Because He knew that you and I couldn't do that, and He commanded his love while we were sinners.
That Christ died.
For us, Who's he? Us, You and me.
So we read over another verse that has us in it.
The blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanseth us from all sin.
While we were sinners, Christ died for us, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Now please turn back with me to Luke's Gospel chapter 23.
And this is the story of the crucifixion.
And I'd like to start with verse 33.
And when they were come to the place which is called Calvary.
There they crucified him, the malefactors, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment and cast lots, and the people stood beholding. The rulers also with them derided him saying.
He saved others, let him save himself, if he be Christ the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, offering him vinegar, and saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. In a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek and Latin and Hebrew. This is the king of the Jews.
And one of the malefactors which were hang railed on him.
Saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds. But this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, Remember Me when thou cometh into thy Kingdom.
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. And was about the six hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the 9th hour, And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried, with a loud voice he said, Father into thy hand.
00:25:04
As I commend my spirit. And having said thus, he gave up the ghosts. Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, certainly this was a righteous man.
In orders from the first saying of the Lord here on the cross, verse 34, it starts with Father.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them. And now verse 46, when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. And having said thus, he gave up the ghost. You know how many hours were between those two, those two sayings of the Lord and the cross.
Father forgive them, and Father into thy hands I commend my spirit. You know many hours they were six.
Six hours.
Says Then when they are come to the place that is called Calvary, there they crucified him.
You know, it was outside Jerusalem. I suppose they took and dug a hole in the ground.
And they?
And.
I don't want to, I don't want to speculate here, but.
I would think that probably what they did is they put the cross down and put the Lord Jesus on the cross, and they nailed his hands and they nailed his feet and then stood the cross up, put it in the hole in the ground, and there he was.
Two other people there, 2 Thieves.
One-on-one side and 1:00 on the other.
Probably did the same thing.
And there they were. What distance apart, we don't really know.
Don't think it was too far.
And the Lord Jesus.
He prays this prayer.
That was heard by the people. Father, forgive them.
For they know not what they do.
And there he hung for six hours, and then he gave up his spirit to God.
I thought of this a while back when.
An aunt of ours died in Ottawa.
Before she died, why she was in her house.
She lived alone. She was over 90 years of age.
Many of you here will know who I'm talking about. Gene Welsh.
Person I.
Grew very fond of over the years and was much help to me spiritually.
And she lived alone in her own house there and.
She was getting ready to go down to the basement.
And something happened, she missed her step or something, and she fell down. She was alone.
And she was there for six hours.
And she?
We talked on the phone after she went to the hospital. They found her. She was well taken care of by others watched over her.
But when she's in the hospital, we were talking to her and she was the same happy spirit.
And six, six days later, she went home to be with her with her savior. Multiple fractures in her body.
They they couldn't do anything for her but try to keep her as comfortable as possible, and she slipped into the presence of the Lord.
She knew the Lord as her Savior because at the time she was a young girl.
But you know, I thought about it.
Someday I'd like to ask her.
What happened during those six hours?
What did she do? Was she conscious? How conscious was she? Did she cry for help?
00:30:06
Well, I know the Lord took care of her.
And I remember talking to her on the phone when she was there in the hospital. She was just her normal, cheerful self as a one who was resigned in her life to honor the Lord. And then the Lord took her. But I thought of it, friends, in connection with these six hours here that we've just read about.
You see, in these hours, here's the man who is the Creator, the sustainer of the universe.
And the man with his hands, the only thing he'd ever done was good in his life. And those feet that trod the weary miles in this world? Nothing. But to the glory of God, he never took a step in his life without.
Seeking the God's mind and what he does.
What he would do?
And he can I say, March to the hill of Calvary. And he laid down his life for you and me, the man who was without sin.
And God made him sin for you and me.
And there on the cross.
Those hands.
That they took a nail there that had done nothing but good.
And then he says, Father forgive them.
You know what's preached to you tonight for all here in this room? Forgiveness.
This world talks a lot about forgiveness.
But dear friends, do you have forgiveness of your sins?
General Acts 1338.
I'm just going to quote it. It's beautiful. You know, reading the book of Acts, the floodgates of God's grace going out to mankind. He says, be it known unto you, therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.
Did you ever do something wrong?
And and the person you did it against, they knew.
Did you ever go to them after and ask them forgiveness?
Well, forgiveness is preached to you tonight.
Have you had your sins forgiven? You have sinned, you know.
The Bible says all of sinned.
And you have a conscience that tells you you've done things that are wrong.
And the Bible also says over in Romans chapter 14 that everyone of us will give account of himself to God.
And it is appointed unto men once to die, and after death the judgment.
Are you ready?
You're appointed to die. You get an appointment in this world and you keep it. You go to the dentist, you go to the doctor, you go to wherever it is appointment about something and you keep the appointment. You have another appointment.
And that's death.
And the Bible says after death, the judgment, let's turn to the verse because let's just hold your place here, if you would. And Luke, it's a beautiful chapter.
Return to Hebrews Chapter 9.
It's nice to see how God groups things together like this, you know? Hebrews 927.
The two verses go together. 2728 As it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment, so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and under them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
00:35:00
Just as it is appointed under you and me.
That we're going to leave this world.
Wants to die and that there is an afterlife.
Because God breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living soul.
After death, the judgment and the next verse because of this.
So Christ was once offered to bear the sin of many, and that's what we've had brought before us. And I'd like to go back and spend a little while on these verses here. Oh, the Lord on the cross.
Back in Luke 23.
When they're coming 33, when they're come to the place which is called Calvary, there they crucified him and the malefactors. I always remember our brother Gladding saying to us years ago, he said, careful, when you read this verse, did you put the commas in there?
It says.
The.
They crucified him, comma and the malefactors.
Jesus was not a malefactor.
He was numbered with them, but he was not a malefactor.
The only perfect man, the only holy man that ever walked this world. And imagine the coincidence, if I can call it that, of these two thieves finding themselves in the presence of the Son of God.
When he's dying on the cross.
And it tells us in another gospel that they both railed on him, along with the other people, the rulers, the people that were there, the soldiers.
The people in verse 35 stood beholding. The rulers derided him. He saved others. What mockery.
Let him save himself. He be Christ, the children of God, the soldiers.
Soldiers can be tough, you know.
Also mocked him.
And seeing if thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself now. Verse 38.
I think this is significant, very significant. This verse and a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek and Latin and Hebrews. This is the king of the Jews, I understand.
That.
When they took when they had a, they were hanging a thief that they would put above him. The crimes, the reasons why that he was being hung.
And why he was cast out of this world, but on the cross of Jesus, all they put down was this is Jesus the King of the Jews. And it says here that it was written in Hebrew and Greek and Latin. Why do you think God? What do you think that they that it was written in those languages? What do you think that God has taken to put this in the world and in his word?
Well.
The Greek was the educational world.
Latin was the the government.
And Hebrew was the religious world.
Those three, those 3.
Stratas in society.
Were all represented in crucifying the Lord Jesus and they all said we don't want them.
This is Jesus.
Saying is a word of God. We don't want your son. You know friends, that you and I are living in a world that doesn't want them and still doesn't want them. This is 2000 years ago.
And they're still saying we don't want them.
This is Jesus, the King of the Jews, But he says him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out will you have him? He wants you.
00:40:07
The world doesn't want, but what about you?
Do you want him?
Will you accept them?
Now notice the next part here.
Verse 39 One of the malefactors, Richard Hang railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the answer the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation, and we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds. Boy, that was an honest man.
He realized that he was condemned to die for the things that he had done.
And he was, in that way, accepting the punishment that he deserved.
And in those three hours that he was there with the Lord Jesus, hanging on that cross, in a period of three hours, he turned from a railer to the point where he turns to the other thief and he says, I'm not going to be part of this anymore.
And then he turns and notice.
The wording?
You know, verse 4041.
We received the due reward of our deeds, but this man have done nothing amiss. I'm going to digress a little bit from here. I want to tell you a little story about these words. This man hath done nothing amiss.
There is a man.
That came to meeting one of our meetings. I'll tell you where it was. It was Rideau Ferry goes back.
This goes back maybe almost 7500 years ago. There's trouble in the meeting.
And he stayed away from meeting.
And he was a he was a man that was a farmer.
And he had his horse, and he plowed his horse.
And.
He was doing a lot of thinking when he was staying away from meeting about all the troubles and everything else, and he loved the Lord.
And he was plowing behind with it with his horse there The Lord gave him this verse.
When he was plowing, this man hath done nothing amiss.
You know what happened the next week he was back at the meeting.
Well, this thief.
I don't know what he knew.
But he found out about Jesus somehow. He may have only known for three hours. He may have not known one thing before that.
But God revealed to him who that man Jesus was, that he was beside on the cross, the divine revelation we have here. And so it says here, this man had done nothing amiss. There was something different about that man Jesus.
And then he turns to him, and he says, Lord, Remember Me when thou comest into thy Kingdom.
I don't think he knew hardly what to ask.
He just said Lord.
I know you're going to have a Kingdom someday.
Will you save a little spot for me?
Lord, Remember Me.
When you get your Kingdom.
Here he is in the cross, that man there going to die in a few hours.
And he turns.
To Jesus and says, Lord, Remember Me.
When thou comest into thy Kingdom.
Now you know, friends, the whole, the whole, all the words are important. God was working in his soul. But I tell you, the one word I like here is Lord. Lord.
Because Lord, I, the Lord means to surrender.
And so you know the verse in Romans 10:00 and 9:00 what it says.
00:45:03
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus, or Jesus is Lord.
Will you surrender to him?
Have you surrendered to Him? Is he your Lord?
It says all we, like sheep, have gone astray. We've turned everyone to his own way. And that's the history of man in this world. And we're all part of it on the downward course that leads to destruction and unless there's a turning to the Lord.
Surrendering to him, there's no blessing.
You have to yield.
You like giving in? I don't.
But dear friends, you must yield to Jesus.
You must yield to him. You and I have a nature that wants our own way.
It's our wills that will land us in a lost eternity. Are you going to say no? You've got to say no to Jesus.
If you are.
If if you're going to land in a lost eternity.
I remember Ernie Wakefield, he used to say God has blocked the way to hell with the cross of Christ. You must pass over the cross. Are you going to pass over?
Jesus is passing by.
Will you surrender like this thief did? Oh this. Think of the Lord as he, as he was there listening to that thief and the thief amid all the other people, he's the only one that says a word in favor of the Lord Jesus. He turns to him, He's hanging there and the Savior of sinners right beside him. And he says.
Lord, Remember Me when thou comest into thy Kingdom. And what does Jesus say?
How long did it take to get an answer? Turn over a new leaf?
Have you been baptized?
Did you give any money to the church? No.
Just read the verse with me, verse 43. Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee.
Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Did he have to wait till the Lord got his Kingdom? Lord of the United Kingdom yet?
He's going to get it, but he doesn't have it yet. But the Lord says to him, because basically, can I put it like this?
You're surrendered, You have accepted me, my Lordship, and today you're going to be with me in paradise.
There was an earthly paradise and man was put out of the earthly paradise because of one sin. And God opens heaven where sin can never enter. Nothing that defiled us or anything. The work of the abomination or a lie. No sin will be in that scene. And that thief that was rejected who was cast out was received.
At the right hand of God.
The beloved Savior.
Old friends.
Have you received him? Have you come to him? Is he your Lord?
Are you going to be with them?
What happened to the other thief?
The scripture doesn't tell us.
But it seems to be that he never accepted the Lord, he never owned Jesus as Lord, and if that's the way he left this world, he landed in a lost eternity forever.
Go back to those verses. God breathed into man's nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.
The animals die and they're it's the end of them, but not you and me.
You're going to live forever and I'm going to live forever, forever.
00:50:04
Either in one of two places. Thank God that I believe most in this room are going to be with them and like them forever. You know why did God make you? What did he make me? So we could sing praises to His Son forever, who always did His will.
He wants to fill heaven.
With those creatures who rebelled against them, if they will surrender and accept Christ.
Have you done it?
How old do you have to be to be saved?
Sometimes boys and girls get saved when they're three or four or five. I don't remember when I was saved.
I don't remember, kind of wish I did.
Kind of wish I did. I know people.
I won't tell you, there's just some stories that run through my mind.
Two or three people that have told both conversions how the Lord worked in their life and he's working in this room tonight. He's been working in you.
Oh, don't go out of this room without accepting Jesus.
Don't do it.
He died for you. Now how do you get saved? How do you get saved?
Well, we talked about that verse in Romans 10 and nine. Believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God have raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness.
Have you ever opened your heart door and asked the board to come in? It's a transaction that has to take place.
You know, we sometimes think maybe we'll sing. In closing, I think it's on that hymn sheet. It is done. The great transactions done. I am my Lords, and he is mine. Is he your Lord tonight?
Are your sins forgiven?
The next verse over from I'm going to just read this verse in closing. In Acts chapter 13, we talked about forgiveness of sins and it's lovely to see that isn't the end of the verse. End of the story there. Let's read those verses together. Acts 1338 and 39.
Be it known unto you, therefore, men and brethren.
That through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins, and by him all the believer justified from all things from which he could not be justified by the law of Moses. There's two different words that are used, one word forgiveness in that 38th verse and then in verse 39 we have the word justification. What's the difference?
Have you got forgiveness of your sins?
I I can say I have I have accepted Jesus as my Lord. Have you?
But I don't only have forgiveness of my sins.
I have been made before God.
So that when God looks at me, when the Lord Jesus looks at me in a coming day, it'll be just as like I never sinned at all, justified from all things. He'll never look. The Lord Jesus will never look at one of his own says, well, I remember what you did, No.
No, if you receive them as your savior, your sins are taken away as far as the east is from the West.
How far is the east from the West? I can tell you about how far it is from the North Pole to South Pole.
But how far is it from the east? From the West you just keep going round and round.
So far hath he removed our transgressions from us. You want to be a Christian? Will you accept them? Will you come tonight? He says if you come to me, I won't cast you out. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Now is that him in this?
00:55:14
In here. Oh, happy day.
Sorry #5.
Let's sing it to the tune.
What is it? Beulah land I think it is.
Oh Happy Day, that fixed my choice on the my Savior and my God. Well.
The heart rejoice and telleth raptures all abroad.
Oh Happy Day, Oh Happy Day when Jesus washed my sins away.
Taught me how.
Watch and pray and live rejoicing every day. Oh Happy Day, Oh Happy Day when wash my sins away.
Tis done the great transactions done. I am my Lords and he is mine.
I followed on, glad to confess thou.
Divine happy day, Oh Happy Day, Jesus washed my sins away, taught me how watch and pray and live rejoicing every day. Oh Happy Day, Oh Happy Day when my sins away.
Now rest my long divided heart.
From thy Lord depart with him of every good fullness.
Oh Happy Day, Oh Happy Day. Jesus washed my sins away, taught me how.
Watch and pray and live rejoicing every day. Happy day or happy day, when Jesus washed my sins away, we asked the Lords blessing our God and our Father.
We trust that everyone can sing this little hymn and truth happy day when Jesus washed my sins away. Father, we pray that by thy Holy Spirit that thou it's plow deep in this room tonight and that sinners may feel their need of the Savior and they may see the Savior is taking their place, their judgment on the cross. We commend ourselves to Thee, thanking Thee for these happy days we've had together.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Good read a verse in John 15.
John 15.
John chapter 15 and.
And Bruce by.
The latter part of the verse.
For without me.
You can do nothing.
This is a very important instruction we have here, for without me you can do nothing. In other words, brethren, unless you have the Lord in your heart.
00:05:03
You can't enjoy good times like we are enjoying right now.
Can't do it, not without the one above.
So this verse for without me you can do nothing.
Remember that, dear young people, unless you have the Lord.
You're helpless, you can't do without them, and it's been nice being here with you brethren, to share in the wonderful things of our Lord Jesus.
Thank you for inviting us and may you continue. May we all continue on until the Lord comes and He takes us home. Shall we pray?
Our God and Heavenly Father, we give thanks to thee for this opportunity.
To be over the sound of thy precious word.
To meditate.
To.
To share in the precious things of the Lord Jesus Christ which we have heard.
And now, Lord, we are before Thee, that you would guide by thy Spirit and give food convenient for us. Doctorowitz, choose that vessel a blessing which would flow out to thy people. We look to thee and thank you for this time, Lord Jesus, and thy own worthy and perfect name. Alone we ask. Amen.
Every other Lord's Day.
I called my my responsibility that that word.
Brother Benji opens up every time.
I'll just ask the Lord we should.
Get up and see what's on my heart.
And I think he answered.
Thank you man.
I've enjoyed some thoughts.
Previously, you coming to these meetings and when Brother Steve gave it that passage, I couldn't try to contain myself, or could I? Some of these things are a little difficult, I think, and I've enjoyed it. I really have enjoyed this portion of upbringing before you, and I trust it's all correct. At least let me finish before you correct me and we'll go from there. First of all, let's turn to Ephesians chapter one.
For reverse.
Agreed. Well known verse.
Someone that said it's a purpose of God.
The soul there in verse 10, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times, he might gather together in one all things in Christ, and which are earth even in the end.
That's the millennial reign.
And that's when he's going to bring together.
In one on both things that are in heaven which are occurred.
And I believe in chapter 24 of Matthew, we have Elizabeth. The Lord began it there began it, but He introduced it there in the very opening course. I want to go from there, first of all, Matthew 24 and the opening to verse.
And Jesus went out and departed in the temple, and his disciples came to him for the show and the buildings, the temple.
And Jesus stood on for them, seeking on all these things.
Drill that's down to you here shall not be left here. One stone on another there shall not be thrown dead. No, I think we all understand that to be the Temple and it will be destroyed. And Titus came in in 87.
So I thought I would just touch on these temples very briefly, just briefly.
For a moment.
The first step is we know the Solomon's Temple which he built and.
You know, it was a rather beautiful temple, it says. And it's still.
Brother small, they probably could fit inside this room except for the height. It was about 30 feet and width.
00:10:08
83 feet in land and about 43 behind when it was covered in gold. Most beautiful temple. And of course we know that when they show up his rotating captivity.
And.
586.
They say that temple was destroyed in all the wool.
And then seventy years later, Droplet came back into the land and he rebuilt the temple. It wasn't quite a glorious temple, but it was much the same size. He came back, and 538 began.
Kind of discouraged.
I wasn't finished. Twenty years later, 5/15.
And that temple was destroyed by Pompeii in 63 BC. Roman, Roman general. So this temple here is Herod's temple in 19 BC. King Herod sing on the oven in the door was warm there. King Aaron started to rebuild the temple. He wanted to impress the Jews.
And the people of Rome as well by doing this fantastic building. And so he did.
And it goes on the same pattern as Solomon's temple forged in the inner room, the whole.
Place and most holy as well. But he built it on a much grander scale and then he built a wall around it. So we've seen that wall and the an encompass for 35 acres when it was finished.
But can you eat something?
In that construction that wasn't with the others.
And that is?
The entrance to the to the Herod's temple was from the South 2 doors 2 dating and they came from the South and they when they went inside the 1St place was the the corner of the Gentiles that was included in this playoff. First is the court of Gentiles and the Gentiles could go in there.
And it was a big area, but they don't even go so far and there was a wall.
There was a wall, and they could never go beyond that wall, and beyond that wall was the court of Israel for the Jews. And even that was in the sense that the entries to that first court was a woman's court. The women could actually go into that, and beyond that was the man's court, and beyond that was the temple itself.
Solomon's Porch and the Holy Place most total.
When the Lord said, here there shall not be left here, one stone upon another, there shall not be thrown down. I think He meant the temple, truly. But we go back to Ephesians with me, chapter 2.
I believe you.
We'll see what the Lord has in mind.
When he said those words, a little deeper meaning than even those of that day probably understood.
Chapter 2.
Verse 13 but now in Christ Jesus you sometimes were far made dying by the blood. Of course, for years our peace who have made global one and have thrown them down the middle walls partition between us.
That Middle Mile partition was Herod's Temple. It was the partition between the Gentile, the Court of the Gentiles, and the Court of the Jews.
No damage called beyond letter back and where they accused Paul of maybe bringing someone in the end to the courtroom. Gentiles, cyclists on circumstances to get upset with them. He hadn't really, but that's what he was. They thought he had lactitis into the quarter of Jews.
00:15:00
And so the Lord.
Even in that chapter say he was introducing the coming together of one.
That there will be no mineral wall of partition.
Now I'd like to look at something just before me.
And brother, my partner a little bit the touchdown a week back, the Kingdom of heaven and the Kingdom of God.
And try to put it in this light first of all.
In Matthew 24, turn back to 24. Now let's go back to Matthew Chapter 2, Chapter 3.
Someone has mentioned I believe in meetings already and I'm trying to put this in a sensible way. I can is something you know. I've got some complicated things.
But with this given, those newest ones here can actually understand the difference if someone asked you what's the difference between the team and the seven and the team of God?
There is an influence.
Anyway, someone has said that the Kingdom of Heaven praise.
It's only found in That's correct. I counted an important 29 times, Bethany says in her concordance was 32 Times to praise. Kingdom of Heaven is mentioned every time in the Gospel of Matthew. It's the gospel of the Kingdom.
Now the slowest one. Couple verses here real quick. Chapter 3, verse 2.
Verse two and saying is John the Baptist coming and saying, repent thee?
For the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. That was John's tweet, chapter 4.
John is imprisoned in chapter 4, verse 17. From that time Jesus began to preach and to say repent for the Kingdom of heaven is 10. Again, it's at hand, it's dear.
In chapter.
This chapter. Chapter 10.
When he calls in chapter 10.
Verse one these 12 Jesus sent forth and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles and into any city of the Samaritan liberty now, but go rather to the lost sheep of the House of Israel, and as you go, preach saying the Kingdom of heaven.
Of heaven is any.
That was the message.
Three times we have the Kingdom of our government. Now we know if the Lord Jesus Christ came, the diverse sinners that his death was required. But I want to look at this from the Jewish original life point of view as to the responsibility we can see category, but it leads true. The Lord came instead of this game. That's what he came for the King of heaven was to be set up. He was going to rule.
Over this earth, and he will in the Kingdom of heaven.
And they were to receive this. So John preached, the Lord picked it up. It was the same message. And his disciples went out and they were delivering a message to his own verse. Do not go to the Gentiles. Do not go anything except to.
The lost sheep of Israel.
Now, the Gentiles in mind, yes we do.
If you go back for a minute, chapter 80 is for thought there and generated Matthew.
When he comes down to the mountain Chapter 5-6 and seven, you might say characteristics for prerequisites to getting into the king movement of that at all.
And chapter 80 comes down from the mountain and he's met with two different individuals. The first one, verse 2 is a leper who worshipped him, saying, Lord of thou Willington, thou can make Steve, don't make me clean. And Jesus looked for his hand and touched him, saying, I will be thou clean. And those who he is in the next verse he tells the man, go show thyself to the phrase. This is a Jewish person.
00:20:00
The next person who we meet is verse five. It's the it's in Capernaum and the centurion is a Gentile.
We find that the end of the little story right here about the Gentile person, he says and verse 10 when Jesus heard his faith on words, he marvelous headed to them that followed very down to you. I have not found so great of faith. No, not in history, not in the intercourse.
But diversity level will come back to me the afternoon.
Anyway, let's go to chapter. Let's jump right over to chapter 21, passing all the parables in chapter 13 and so on. So much more there. Let's just go to chapter 21. And so this one came saying they penned the Kingdom of evidence at hand. He was going to establish this Kingdom. If they had received them, he would have said that they would have entered in and delivered from the.
Oppressed.
In chapter 21 and verse, well we won't read much of it, it says.
1St 5.
Tell me the dollar of Zion saying, the old thy king, come on, do they meet and sitting upon mass and a whole fold and disciples went and did this. Jesus commanded them and brought the assault on someone. We know that story well.
And verse 9, the multitudes that went before and followed by saying, Rosanna to the Son of the blessed, is he that cometh in the name of the Lord Hosanna and the highest.
They say, who is this expert? Who is this?
We come down to verse 15 when the chief free subscribe saw the wonderful things that he did and the children crying in the temple and saying Hosanna the son of David. They were so afraid and they sent on to him. There are still not what these say and Jesus says unto them, yeah, I've never read about the mouth of babes and sufferings to us to click the praise and they let them die.
He came into that city fulfilling prophecy as to the Messiah. It was coming who was to come, and we know the story well. It was rejected and he was cast out and he was crucified as we had the remembrance this morning.
Let's jump up to the end of Matthew.
The last chapter of Math.
He's crucified. He's very in the gravy lane for three days, then he rises from the dead on the third day.
Verse 19.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things like whoever I am commanding, loyal, and with you all, even at the end of the world.
Instantly we have that portion of Matthew 24.
The Kingdom of heaven is crazy to those who are most responsible. His own who was rejected. He would have suffered. It was to be an earthly Kingdom.
And he was to rule over as he will, and one day come.
At the end of Matthew, where you'll have.
Reverence to the Kingdom of Heaven so often.
We have the last phrase of statement. I am with you all, even until the end of the world. You notice there's no ascension in Matthew.
There's no Holy Spirit coming down in math.
If we only had this gospel, we would have known about that.
Because in math, just gossip.
We come to the end of the stuff, Daniel 69 week.
There's still no way to go and from math is gone to go directly into the last week to pass over this 2000 year period.
And.
2000 year period is over roughly. When it's over, the gospel of the Kingdom will be picked up again. Back to our chapter 24 for a month in chapter 24, this verse was brought out of verse 14.
00:25:13
And this is also off the Kingdom. Verse 14 shall be preached in all the world by witness unto all nations, and then shall be any time.
Once this the believers are caught on this scene.
And there.
Transported to glory, I believe soon after the gospel of the Kingdom of his previous first of all, by my on the Baptist and by the Lord himself and by the disciples will be picked up again and will permeate what we're working with Jew and Gentile life at that time.
But the thing of it is.
Coming into that period, seven-year period.
The Lord will return.
And the Kingdom of heaven will be established, will come in, and they will move away.
Now.
Here's the thought I had of the Kingdom of God.
You know we read the yesterday and heard this morning.
How greatly he loves us.
And in spite of what man does, in spite of the rejection of mankind.
Nor is there something even better. He comes back. Oh, something is even better.
So what does he do?
Though they cycled, there were those in Israel that day, that time that actually received.
There were those for example that.
And believe he was to the scientist, he wasn't the same one they received, and they followed him, the disciples. And on the there are many thoughts. For example, there's 120 enough of a room Corinthian springs up, there's 500 more somewhere else, and so on. There are many. What was to happen to them?
Excuse me, who believe that?
He was the Messiah and believed that the Kingdom was to be set up. God did something better for them, I believe, and for us.
And So what does he do?
I believe we have it in Colossians chapter one.
Colossal.
Verse 12 We need thanks to the Father, which has made us need to be partakers of the inheritance of Saints in life.
Who have delivered us from the fall of darkness, and have translated us into the Kingdom of his ears suffering.
Came to my business I believe it's the Kingdom of God wants any difference in.
What the Lord then did was and he couldn't believe those believers into the Kingdom.
What he did in the sentence was canal bringing him to you and so the Holy Spirit and thou glory and in wealth of believers. I believe what we have in the book of Acts is exactly that. I believe the different ones were translated into the Kingdom of is their son the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of God is a heavenly Kingdom. It's not an earthly Kingdom.
And it's in the the 2nd chapter of that book of Acts. The 120 were brought in because they were waiting for spirit to come down. They believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. Not all the believers are brought to them that day. Later on, as we know families and those were brought in and happened to leave the first of all Jesus Christ chapter 19 of last and the 12 who never have heard was the Holy Ghost they were brought into.
The Kingdom as well. So I believe that's the Kingdom of God that was established and the Kingdom is your Son. And he rocked them in and blessed and gave them that blessing and heavenly blessed.
00:30:07
The Kingdom of God has mentioned many times in Scripture. Six times I believe in Matthew, 15 times in Mark, at least 33 times in Matthew, but only twice in the book of John. Turn to the book of John. Please say this.
In John three, he must come to the Lord and in verse three he says Jesus after that said unto him, barely, barely had to stay unto you, except the man be born again and cannot see the Kingdom of God. And then in verse 5 Jesus answers, really, really I say unto you, accepting men be born of water and of security, he cannot enter.
He cannot see and he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.
Coming into this Kingdom, Kingdom is your son, he says. You come in my faith, you believe in my my Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the brother King, my father. And there's one more verse I want to look at First Corinthians chapter 15.
And here's the thought that the 15 of the First Corinthians.
And verse.
Now this I say 11.
This I say brother, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God either. The corruption inherit incorruption.
So here's the third thing.
To John, and John says he cannot see the Kingdom of God, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God, and there it says he cannot inherit.
Flesh and blood cannot, America. All those are brothers in the Kingdom of history, of some Kingdom of God, and by faith in Him and trust in Him.
Flesh and blood.
Will that the Kingdom of heaven?
Repeat that flesh and blood legend, the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, when the Lord returns those that are.
Number 24th chapter. But Steve brought out about Christ. There's Christ, there is Christ. Those who believe that gospel that the Messiah is coming, they believe, they repent and they accept that the Messiah is coming. They will.
22 King and the nations that support Israel will win and Kingdom.
But the other way and he fathoms because the last dispensation money illustration is the last one. And they have to come to faith, just as in this position we have to come to faith. They come to faith as well. But they go in fondly in the Lutheran Kingdom of heaven and.
But none can go involved as a word of change into the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God, I believe, began on the day of Pentecost when the Spirit came down and indwelled believers and brought them into the Kingdom of his nearest son province and Tel Aviv. And that's us as well. We've been brought, and this is how we come in today. We're not looking for the Kingdom of elephants that were to be set up on the earth as some freestax, you know, but we're waiting for the Lord to take us away to be with himself, because that's a heavenly king.
I'm very healthy people for not worthy people that's earthly Kingdom for earthly people, for heavenly people for the heavenly Kingdom and we're going to be caught along. God has said to those then for believing, accepting my Son, I have something better for you to make you decay. Translate it into the king and so every believer from then on, trust the Lord Jesus Christ brought into that Kingdom.
Brother, I have enjoyed that.
I wish I could have been relaxed to give it up.
I've enjoyed that stuff actually the whole of Matthews gospel and related the whole of work is a gospel of heaven message.
00:35:08
It is that. It doesn't mean it doesn't apply to us.
Because I said we're already there, is the point. You and I are already in the Kingdom.
And there's nothing that those in latter day in the Kingdom of heaven are going to enjoy and work that we can't enjoy right now. For example, when they're there, the Lord Jesus is going to be reigning over them. Now, you and I, we're the church.
And our head is in heaven right now. He's raining over us. We have to see now that every blessing that they will have in that day, in the Kingdom of heaven, we have. Right now in the Kingdom of God we have.
Everyone except you don't have the blaster. That's not that. We have everything else. And So what did God do? He said to go. I'm going beyond bringing him into the earth bikini with those who believe I'm going to bring you in and form a body. The body is going to be one body.
All believers whose head will be in heaven and we commend my faith and trust that, but the Lord by faith was strong, not only one body, but it's just like forming a bride and my son. It is not good that man should go alone. I won't make it. Help me.
That's what he's doing now and you and I and the very first ones, they have many gossip properly and the Formula One body. So this is the the Kingdom of my dear son of the son of my life.
God is not the Father is not us reward you might save what the Lord Jesus Christ has done and for those who trusted him, he's bringing him you and I are already and so the same. That's why he wants us to walk down by faith and trust in him because we're already there and everything in that day. If you apply if you apply the all those masters Gospel through the gospel of heaven.
Then leave him like a 16th chapter room says a seal on earth is sealed on earth.
We left these things in that day as the as they administer saying from the earth in Jerusalem in that day and steal them right above the earth as the heavenly Christmas. It's sealed there as well, but so it is today.
In the Church of God and in this, in this scene, what the assembly has at 16 chapter said, it's recognized. There's no difference. The only difference is, is that we have a portion with himself.
In in heaven we are heavenly people called out of this world. His body, the Church is thrown.
So I believe the Kingdom of heaven is summarizing quit is to say that the Kingdom of heaven began from all of us because of that, but we'll say with the Gospel of Matthew or by John the Baptist of Matthew, the Lord Jesus and disciples and he would have stood up to the every the other of the Kingdom. Then for earthly people they would reign over them and he will complete that when they come, but because that was rejected.
Our God went beyond, says OK.
And I will bring it in to you. So the spirit comes down to the close of believers and we're brought in now. And now we're definitely, we can't access the Kingdom of Velma. The flesh and the other merit flesh and flesh and only inhabit the genome of that. And they will win, and many nations will win.
And they'll live in dweller for 1000 years and then they'll get that final judgment. They go in bottle. We don't go in bottle and this thing, we go in bed. We are the private class. We are this church. Where do I have this matter and all the blessings? Did you read this portion in Matthew? Think about it as being.
All these things are not ours. Whatever a blessing, this is ours. This is ours now.
I trust. I didn't refuse that too much. I didn't enjoy the trust.
00:40:01
Reverse.
There's 29.
Immediately after the tribulation those days.
Shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her life?
And the stars shall fall from heaven.
In the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Talking about the Kingdom.
Talking about heavenly things.
We have here reference to the heavenly body in the sun.
The motive to start, and I know we've identified this as being the ruling authorities might have this world and cast down with the Spirit of God does use a figure of the heavenly body and I would like to spend a few moments to consider a few structures in connection with those.
You know when God made the world.
He had eternity before him.
And I believe that he translated in this creation.
Pictures of eternal food and we have many references in the scriptures to those heavenly bodies compared to the Saints in different positions. Let's read the Psalm 19.
So I'm 19.
The first verse.
The heavens.
Declare the glory of God.
So we can take on the starry night. You look up in the heavens and you see those multitude of stars, unnumbered stars, that God has a name for each one of them.
You marvel and you are a believer, that there is a creator of God.
And just the dimension of it all speaks of his power.
The glory of God declared in the heavens.
I'm sure there's more.
As we consider the heavenly bodies to consider the glory of God, and we'll get to that. We just read on for a moment. Day and today utter its speech and night and Tonight Show it knowledge. There's no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Whether you're in China, Australia and the island of the Pacific, the North Pole, wherever you are.
You can look up into heaven.
And there's a sun, The moon.
And it starts and they have a message from God making us responsible to know that these bodies have an author which is God himselfers. For their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. And then had he set a Tabernacle for the sun?
So man, as a creature of God, is responsible to know there's a God. It tells us that in Romans chapter one.
Of course there is a God science wants to speculate as to the origin of the universe because it doesn't want to receive the fact that there's a creator God and he called the things into being by the power of his word. The believer just rests on what the Spirit of God tells us in the word of God. God spoke and there it was. Psalm 33 tells us that, but it tells us here verse four as to in the heavens.
That we can't measure and the scientists have to talk to billions of years and light years to travel over here and over there. And I start with there's so much bigger than this. And that it tells us in the Scripture in them hath he said a Tabernacle for the sun.
That's what God has done. God has created a heaven and he's made that to be a Tabernacle for the sun. And we are the spectators of that. And sure enough, we finally, when the sun rises in the east and rises up in the sky, you can't see the stars anymore. They just disappear from the glory of that one son. It's wonderful in English. It works. You know, the sun, SON, and the sun is UN and doesn't work in all languages like that. But you know, what a beautiful picture.
00:45:11
The Son is of the Son, because when he appears in glory, there's no other glory to be beheld but his glory. And notice in the next verse it says, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoice it as a strongman to run a race. Oh, there's the Lord Jesus, the bridegroom as a strongman, the one who was crucified in weakness, a strong man He's coming.
To establish His Kingdom, to rule in righteousness.
He counts forth out of heavens, and his circuitous unto the end of it, and there's nothing hidden from that.
Eat thereof. Nothing is hid from him. He knows everything and he's going to have everything his way. But he comes out of heaven as a bridegroom, and it says out of his chamber, of the bridal chamber, he comes out of heaven with his bride.
What a wonder.
That there is One to accompany Him when He comes in glory, One brought out of the earth, one saved by His grace, by His crucifixion to be manifesting glory with Him. Those in which He's going to be admired tells us in Second Thessalonians chapter one be glorified in His Saints and admired in all them not believed. He's the one to be admired. So here in the 19th Psalm, God speaks of the heaven, speaks of the sun, speaks of it as a bridegroom. He's giving us pictures.
Of one greater than the sun.
Was going to like having an earth with his glory. It tells us in the Book of Revelation that the sea doesn't need the sun.
The glory of God has lit the city, and the Lamb is the light thereof. No more need for the sun.
Look at the Song of Solomon.
Chapter 6.
Verse 10.
Who is she?
That looketh forth as the morning fears the moon, clear the sun, and terrible as an army with banners.
We know in the Song of Solomon refers a lot to Israel and God will put his glory on Israel, an earthly nation, to manifest its character during his reign. But we can also apply it to the church that my French Bible which says, who is this one that shines forth like the morning, beautiful as the moon, pure, pure like the sun?
Isn't that something that you and I?
Sinners lost in sin.
To be manifested in the likeness of the Son of God. God wanted to bring many sons to glory, and He's going to bring them to be in the full likeness of His Son, pure like the sun.
You know, in when the sun is darkness, obviously the moon is going to be darkened too, because that's where the moon gets its like from the sun. And so the church in Israel manifested in glory by reflecting the glory of that one who's their Redeemer, Israel's Messiah and the Savior of the body, the Lord Jesus the Church.
And she comes with banners as an army coming out of heaven. I've enjoyed that in connection with the church.
Let's look at First Corinthians chapter 15.
For a moment.
My brother was saying that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God and if we go to the following verses we have the mystery of how our bodies are going to be changed.
But we have.
In Corinthians 15 in reference to the resurrection.
1St Corinthians 15 and 39.
All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes and another of birds. You know, you eat meat, you know, no chicken and fish and beef. It's meat, but it's it's different texture. And so humans life is also of a different texture. And though flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of God, flesh and bones will.
00:50:27
Because the Lord Jesus and resurrection he had gush and bones.
Yeah, an incorruptible flesh, immortal flesh, and that's what we have in the mystery following in the 15th chapter. Our bodies are going to be changed and our flesh is going to become incorruptible and immortal. And so in the 15th chapter it says verse 40, there are celestial bodies and bodies, terrestrials, but the glory of the celestial is one and the glory of the terrestrial is another. We know the heavenly bodies, what characterizes them as the emanation of light.
The character of God and light. And so it says here there is one glory of the sun.
Unmatched scientists will tell you the contrary, but your eye will deny that.
You can look at the stars all you want, but you can't look at the sun like that. The apostle Paul was blinded. It was the light greater than the light of the sun. He couldn't see anymore. That's the glory of the Lord Jesus. And God has put the sun as you went in the heavens as a picture.
Of his son, so when?
And you can't look at that glory for a long time because you're just going to blind. God made it that way.
So there is the glory of the sun and the glory of the moon.
And as we've noticed that the moon doesn't have any personal glory, it has reflective glory.
Are we beholding with an open face? The glory of the Lord are transformed into the same image. From glory to glory. There's reflective glory. The one who's before you is the one you're reflecting.
And if we're occupied with the Lord Jesus, and that's the one we're contemplating, that's who we're going to be manifesting. And then it says, for one star, defer it from another star in glory. And that's visible at night. You can look up in the heavens and you see brighter stars and weaker stars, but they're All Stars, you know?
So also is the resurrection.
I've enjoyed this very much in connection with the resurrection of believers.
You know Hollywood has its stars.
And you read a lot of corruption about these stars. That's the glory of the world.
Tainted with so much dishonor to the God who made them.
But these stars here, there's the stars of God, the stars of the morning like we see, and they're a reflection of God's glory, and so is the resurrection of the dead. And the stars differ in glory from one star to another. And I believe in the resurrection. We're all going to be stars, We're all going to have glorious bodies, but perhaps we would not have the same measure of glory. I think of the apostle Paul who died as a martyr, and he lived and he suffered and was imprisoned.
And there's a reward for him in glory, I believe. For that, let's look at a verse in Psalm 147.
Psalm 147.
You read verse 4.
He telleth the number of the stars.
He called them all by their names.
I enjoy the fact that he calls his sheep.
Each one of them by their name. And he has a name for all these stars. And he knows you has a sheep now, and has one shining, and glory with him in resurrection.
But if you connect the previous verse verse three it says he healeth the broken in heart and binded up their wounds. He tell it the number of stars and call it them all by their names.
I've enjoyed seeing these verses together where the Lord speaks of suffering, broken hearts, wounds, which is a portion of many of us through the circumstances of life.
00:55:07
And then he speaks of the stars.
Let's prove God connects this thought together with us in Second Corinthians chapter 4.
2nd Corinthians, chapter 4.
In chapter 3 we have reflecting the glory of the Lord, but in chapter 4 in the end of the chapter it says.
Verse 16 Second Corinthians 416 For this 'cause we faint not, but though our outward men perish, yet the inward man is renewed by day by day for a light affliction, which is but for a moment work it for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we look, look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. But the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen.
Are eternal.
You know you can see the sun, the moon and the stars.
And there's a day coming when you won't see them anymore.
And there are things that you can't see now.
That are going to be manifest for eternity.
And that's the real sun, that's the end. And the real stars in resurrection, they're going to be eternal.
And we have in this portion here.
Reference to our condition in this world. Light affliction, but for a moment.
And you know, when you're going through affliction, I know moments tend to drag on.
When pain is there and sorrow, time doesn't go by us quickly. We feel.
Our life is but a vapor.
But in affliction seems to be longer than that.
Those of us are on in years. We look back. I'm 65. I just got here. I barely got here yesterday. I just.
And I'm kind of going down.
Just like that.
And I don't want to minimize anyone suffering or wounds and things that they're burying in their hearts, broken hearts. And the Lord has.
Concern for that and sympathy and comfort. But he would remind us that he's not indifferent to that. And there's an answer in glory for that.
The answer and glory here. I don't see that connected with service.
By the amount of people that I brought the gospel to, or how many sermons I preached, or how many books I wrote or whatever.
I believe it's connected with suffering in this life and manifesting the character of the Lord Jesus. We had that yesterday in the fruit of the Spirit, long-suffering.
I know some are suffering long. I don't know who you are, but some are suffering long. And the Lord, the Lord knows. The Lord knows the weight and the pain and the extent of it all, and He has an answer in glory for that. He knows you by your name.
He knows how many hair on your head you have.
He knows what Soros trial means. He's been through that.
And perhaps it's not. It's not my case right now. I can't, I can't complain. I'm very thankful for the Lords mercy. But should the Lord allow things in our lives in the coming days, may we remember.
He refers to them as light afflictions of a moment.
And in answer to that, he has a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
I can't show you that now.
We can't even see the Lord with our eyes. We can feel His presence. We can't see Him with our eyes, but we'll see Him with our eyes. One was glorious in the sun. You know, the apostle Paul, he, he was blinded because of the glory of the Lord. To be able to behold the glory of the Lord physically, we can do it spiritually. Now to be able to behold the glory of the Lord physically, we need to have a changed body. We need to have changed eyes, and then we can behold.
His glory.
Want to wonder, brothers and sisters, that momentarily, and we say before the meeting is over, before the day's over, before the weeks over, before the years old, I don't know when.
But it's by this little vapor that's going by, which is called our life. Momentarily. The moment is going to be over and we're going to see him. We're going to be changed in the twinkling of an eye, in a moment, and we're going to behold that one. And we're going to see the nail print in his hand and his feet. And it's like the Apostle Paul, he didn't see that. He just saw a light and he heard the voice.
01:00:25
We're going to hear the voice, we're going to see His face, we're going to see the whole thing is happening inside. Well, may you encourage us there. Once those eternal things that are coming through resurrection, the glory of the sun, eternal glory, the moon. I think of the church reflecting His glory for eternity and the individual believers, the stars grabbing glory one from another. Not due to ability or gift is how.
In your life you glorify the Lord through the trials and difficulties to their broken hearts and their wounds that He allows you to go through, that you glorified Him in that way. May the Lord bless His word to our souls.
170.
And shall we see thy face?
And hear thy heavenly voice.
Well known to us in present grace.
Well, may our hearts rejoice 270.
I chose stand here right now.
Go on sailing brothers and praise and all my heart tree joy everybody to hear.
No.
Yeah.
Somebody.
On the floor now I should go.
Seeing him #202.
What will it be to dwell above 202?
01:05:01
What will it be?
Raining.
Always love so bright and falls history.
Ignore.
It.
We just read Before We close First Corinthians 2.
Couple of verses.
1St Corinthians 2.
Verse 9.
As it is written.
I have not seen nor ear heard.
Neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared.
For them that love him, but God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit.
For the Spirit searches all things, yeah, the deep things of God. Let us pray.
Our God, our Father.
We're humbled to think of our God. How much?
Thou hast given our God the largeness of thy heart.
Now it's empty. Heaven, Father, to send thy Son into this world.
