He is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend.
The bride in Solomon’s Song was totally occupied with her beloved. And there was no one else who could come close to him in the bride’s eyes. “He is altogether lovely,” she says. This is just a picture of what the Lord Jesus should mean to each of us. He is our beloved. We are His bride. When we consider Him, we too can say, “He is altogether lovely. This is my Beloved, and this is my Friend.”
