Concise Bible Dictionary:

1. Son of Shaharaim, a Benjamite (1 Chron. 8:99And he begat of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcham, (1 Chronicles 8:9)).
2. An idol worshipped by some Jews who also professed to worship Jehovah (Zeph. 1:55And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the Lord, and that swear by Malcham; (Zephaniah 1:5)). Some judge it to have been the same as Molech.
