And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. (2 Samuel 24:14)
Let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for His mercies are great.

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. (2 Samuel 24:14)
David had learned a great lesson about the heart of God. His mercies are great. Given the choice of trusting man to show mercy or trusting the Lord, David chose the latter. When we stop and consider how sinful we really were and that God saved us and brought us to Himself, we too can say with David, “His mercies are great.” God showed great mercy and paid a great price to save me, a great sinner.
