2 Cor. 1:9; 4:10⁹But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: (2 Corinthians 1:9)
¹⁰Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. (2 Corinthians 4:10). The apostle held himself as morally dead. Hence, when death presented itself, he was more than conqueror. It could only bring him to Christ.
