Mount Ephraim

This does not refer to any particular mountain, but to the range of hill-country in Ephraim (Josh. 17:15¹⁵And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee. (Joshua 17:15); Josh. 20:7⁷And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kirjath-arba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah. (Joshua 20:7); Jer. 4:15¹⁵For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.
