And He came out, and went  .  .  .  to the mount of Olives.
The Mount of Olives is a range on the east side of Jerusalem where Jesus often went. The Lord sat on the Mount of Olives when He spoke to His disciples about future events. Jesus ascended to heaven from here and will return to the same spot when He comes to set up His earthly kingdom. Zechariah tells us that, when the Lord comes in power and glory and His feet touch the Mount of Olives, it will split in two and “there shall be a very great valley.” What a day when Jesus comes as King of kings and Lord of lords.
