muffler

Concise Bible Dictionary:

Mentioned among the women’s ornaments in Isaiah 3:1919The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, (Isaiah 3:19). The word is raal, which is translated “trembling” in Zechariah 11:22Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down. (Zechariah 11:2). It is supposed to refer to some light ornament that would flutter on the wearer’s movements. The margin renders it “spangled ornaments.” Gesenius has “veils.”
