My Ground of Confidence

"The Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20²⁰I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20).

Upon a life I did not live;
Upon a death I did not die;
Another's life, Another's death,
I stake my whole eternity!

What is the ground of your confidence? Do you expect to get to heaven through your works, prayers, feelings, or religious observances? Salvation is not to be had through what we do for Christ; it can only be secured through what He did for us and suffered for us on Calvary's cross.

Get down to the foundation, and make sure you are building for eternity on Christ, the Rock of Ages, and not on the shifting sands of your own experiences and feelings.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:31³¹And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31). "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1¹Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (Romans 5:1).
