Great is the mystery of godliness: God was . . . believed on in the world.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, “For our gospel came. . . unto you. . . in power. . . . And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word” (ch. 1:5-6). To the Colossians he wrote, “We heard of your faith in Christ Jesus” (ch. 1:4). To the Ephesians he wrote, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth” (ch. 1:13). Yes, Jesus, God became man, was believed on in the world.
