Great is the mystery of godliness: God was  .  .  .  received up into glory.
“A cloud received Him out of their sight” (Acts 1:99And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. (Acts 1:9)). Jesus had come, worked among the Jewish people for three-and-a-half years, had been betrayed by one of his own disciples, was crucified, had died and risen again. And now He was caught back up to glory, witnessed by many, where He still is waiting to come back again and receive us up into glory also. The mystery of the gospel is all explained in the birth, death, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ, God became a man for eternity. Great is the mystery of godliness.
