Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13)
), according to God’s promise. They will be the sphere when righteousness will dwell (not merely reign, as in the millennium), when there will be no more death, sorrow, pain, or sin. In the new earth also there will be no more sea (Rev. 21). They will not be ushered in until after the close of the millennium and the final judgment of Satan and the wicked. They are also called the eternal state, since in them time will be no longer marked.
