We find in John 14:2727Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27): "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you." This is the legacy the Lord has left His people in this world while He has gone to the Father.
"Peace I leave with you." This is peace with God which Christ has made by the blood of His cross. "My peace I give unto you" is the peace He possessed as Man walking down here on earth.
I have seen many who have peace with God, but I have never seen any who had made their peace with God, nor could anyone possibly do so under a n y circumstances. Nothing but the blood could make peace with God; and we read in Col. 1:2020And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (Colossians 1:20), Christ has "made peace through the blood of His cross."
