ISA 57:20-21
The wicked are like the troubled sea.    .    .    .    There is no peace    .    .    .    to the wicked.
Isaiah 57:20-21
Even on a calm day the sea is never really still. There are tides and currents that are constantly at work moving the great mass of water. So for the unsaved, even though on the surface there appears to be calm, underneath there is no peace. The conscience is still at work convicting of sin. If you have a bad conscience - no peace in your heart - it can only be caused by one of two things. Either you’re a sinner and need to be saved, or you’re a Christian who has sinned and you need to confess it to God. There is no peace to the wicked.
