Jesus made peace with God for us when His blood was shed on Calvary. Just as the lamb’s blood applied to the door posts and lintel in the Old Testament protected those inside the house and gave them peace, so the Lord’s blood has made our peace with God. But this is only good if it is applied to me, personally. In other words, I must accept the Lord’s death on Calvary as being for me. I must believe that He died to put away my sin. Only then will I have peace with God.
