HAVE you any texts hanging in your home? I was once in a home where a strange text hangs in the dining room. On the card are just two words—"PERHAPS TODAY."
Why are those two strange words hanging there? What do they mean?
I will tell you. The father and mother in that home love the Lord Jesus, and they have read in the Bible that one day Jesus is coming again. And they know it is going to be very soon. They know, too, that the Lord Jesus has washed away all their sins, and they are glad that He is coming soon. Are you?
A little girl, just eleven years of age, said to her mother,
"Mother, as I came up the street, I saw the clouds moving very quickly along the sky, and the sun shining so bright between them. So I stood still and looked up, for I thought if the Lord Jesus were coming, how I should like to be the very first to see Him!"
Perhaps you can't understand this at all. It would frighten you, instead of making you happy, if you thought the Lord Jesus would come today.
"Daily nearer draws His coming,
This makes all His own rejoice.
Who are they that fear to meet Him?
Such as now love not His voice.
Yes we'll gather at His coming,
His glorious, His glorious coming,
Gather with His saints at His coming
IF washed in the Saviour's blood."
