Pleasing God

If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
We all worry to various degrees what other people think about us. And sometimes we do need the help of godly Christians to adjust our words, ideas and actions to be more conformed to Christ. But in this “politically correct” generation we live in, it seems to be a sin against mankind to stand for anything that is righteous and truthful before God, especially when it counters the mundane morality, the selfish selfism, and the haughty humanism that is so widespread, even in the professing church. As you live and work from day to day, who are you seeking to please, God or man? “The fellow who worries about what people think of him wouldn’t worry so much if he only knew how seldom they do.”
