And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the Lord.
The Israelites asked Samuel to give them a king. Samuel listened to their reasons and then he went to the Lord and told Him all about it. He was somewhat surprised at the Lord’s answer. Do it! The people had rejected the Lord and wanted to be like the rest of the nations in the world. Samuel was upset at the people, but he did what the Lord said. It’s great to have someone to turn to when we don’t know what to do. The Lord wants us to confide in Him. Tell Him all about it. He cares.
