THE following pages contain a simple exposition of the Addresses to the Seven Churches, in which it is sought to trace the decline of the professing Church, from its departure from first love, until the solemn moment is reached when it will be spued out of Christ's mouth. Further, it seeks to set forth the Lord's mind as to the Church, in responsibility, at each stage, in order that the consciences of His people may be exercised by His warnings, while their hearts are cheered by His words of encouragement.
