The lectures in the reader’s hands were delivered in the course of ordinary service in the ministry of the word. Some who heard them thought that they might be useful to others, and the notes of them were given to the writer, and form the basis of these Papers.
That they may be a blessing to his people, is the earnest desire of the writer, and if so, they will bring glory to the name of the Lord.
