THAT a second edition of this little book has been called for is cause for unfeigned thankfulness to God, who, I trust, has been pleased to use it in some measure to quicken the faith of His beloved people, and to arouse a deeper interest in the study of the prophetic Word.
Since these lectures were first put into print, great and stirring events have transpired. Already one can see the handwriting on the wail, that tells of the utter collapse of man’s boasted civilization, apart from God, and the rise of the blasphemous powers predicted in Daniel and the Revelation.
In revising the book very few changes have been made, and those only for the sake of euphony or greater clearness. May the Lord be pleased to continue to use it for His glory and the blessing of souls
