The receptacle for arrows (Gen. 27:33Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; (Genesis 27:3); Lam. 3:1313He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins. (Lamentations 3:13)). It is used symbolically as a place of safety, strength, &c. (Job 39:2323The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
