Redemption Point

Niagara Falls, which some of you have seen, is one of the greatest of waterfalls. There is a place in the river above the falls called, “Redemption Point.” One is safe if he does not go beyond this spot, but if he should venture past, his boat will be caught in the current and then carried over the falls. A sign is placed at that spot to warn everyone, of the danger of passing the safety line.
One day, some men were seen drifting along very near to this point. People on the bank called in warning, but they took no heed. It was seen, too, that they were drinking strong drink — the Word of God warns us not to do this—and laughingly one of the men waved the bottle to the folks on shore. Again and again they were warned, but still drifted on unheeding till, passing Remptation Point, they were caught in the mighty current’s power and carried to their deaths over the falls.
Boys and girls, God warns us of a more fearful thing than even being dashed to pieces over Niagara. He tells us to, “Flee from the wrath to come.”
Judgment is going to fall on this wicked world. Let us not refuse to heed the warning by hardening our hearts against it—but, NOW, while there is yet time, close in with God’s offers of mercy. Soon it may be too late.
“To lose one’s wealth is much,
To lose one’s health is more
But to lose one’s soul is such a loss,
As nothing can restore.”
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ NOW.
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Cor. 6:2.
