Redemption

Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold . . . but with the precious blood of Christ.
Silver and gold are the trading standards of today’s society. But with God they won’t work. Our salvation cannot be, nor could it ever have been, bought with money. Redemption for us was accomplished at infinite cost - the shedding of the blood of Christ on Calvary’s cross. As it says in Hebrews, “By His own blood He entered in once into the holy place.” Access to God is through the cross. Money is not required.
