We will not have this Man to reign over us.
When Jesus was born, Herod, the Gentile king, killed all boys two years old and under in the Bethlehem area to try to get rid of Him. During Jesus’ life a crowd of people tried to push Him over a cliff. On another occasion they picked up stones to stone Him. When Pilate wanted to release Jesus, the people demanded that He be crucified. Yes, Jesus was indeed rejected, cast out and killed by His own people. Now we have a chance to do the opposite. We can show our acceptance of Him by remembering Him.
