Here’s another verse that would encourage Christians to show respect for those in authority. How many times have we thought and maybe even said nasty things about the President or the Prime Minister of our country? Let’s remember that even though we may not like them as a person, or like what they are doing, they have been put in that position by God and we must respect them in that position. In other words, we should submit to their authority, as long as it doesn’t contradict the Scriptures.
