Death holds no power for the believer. The Lord Jesus Christ broke the power of death when He rose from the dead after three days in the grave. Now resurrection is a reality and is the basis of the hope that lies before us. Without resurrection, the Apostle Paul says that our hope is in vain, we are still in our sins. No, the wonderful news is that Jesus rose from the dead. Death could not hold Him, and it can’t hold us either.
