After the rapture when Christians are taken to heaven, the world will be in a panic and a sea of confusion. Out of this sea, the Beast will come and bring false peace to the world. The Beast is the leader of the Roman Empire. Satan will give the Beast political and religious authority to rule over much of the world. Everyone whose name is not written in the Lamb’s book of life will worship the Beast as God. This will become the religion of the Western nations. It is the same as worshipping Satan and is blasphemy against God.
The Jews and those from other nations that repent and believe the gospel of the Messiah coming to set up His kingdom will not worship the Beast. The Beast will try to destroy them and will kill many of these saints.
Another beast will come out of the earth doing miracles. This man is a Jew. The two horns like a lamb show he will deceive people to think he is the Messiah. He is the false messiah, the Antichrist. Many people from ex-Christian Western nations and many Jews will believe his lies. He will make an image of the first beast and command people to worship the image. He will kill those who do not worship the Beast. He will cause people to get the mark, the name or the number of the Beast, in their right hand or their forehead. Without this mark, they will not be able to buy anything at the store or do business or sell anything. The number of the Beast is 666.
