Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
The Apostle John is warning here of the danger of getting off the path of the New Testament teachings, either because we listen to false teachers or because we encourage the promotion of false teaching by being hospitable to those that teach it. Let’s remember to keep our eye on the goal and on the Lord Jesus. There are many deceivers in the world that are attracting millions through their subtle teachings. Beware that you don’t lose your hard-earned reward.
