I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for Thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
David had peace when he slept because he knew the Lord was with him. Sometimes I have a hard time appreciating the value of this verse. May the Lord help us each to trust Him and have the confidence that while we sleep we are safe in His hands.
