The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.
There are three things to fix in our hearts from this verse. First, the Lord is good. He always has our well-being at heart. He cares for us and wants to do us good. Next, we find in the Lord a place of safety from the storms of life. Nothing can get past Him and nothing can snatch us out of His all-powerful hand. Lastly, He is one who knows us by name and has our name recorded in His eternal book. He provides for us. He protects us. He has a special interest in our eternal blessing. We surely have a great Lord and Master.
