JUD 16:1
Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there a harlot, and went in unto her.
Yesterday we saw Samson looking at a woman who was not Jewish. Now Samson lusts after a prostitute. The townspeople knew he was with her and planned to kill him in the morning (he was their bitter enemy). Samson escaped, we know, but there’s a lesson here that is explained in the letter by the Apostle James: “When lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin when it is finished brings forth death.” An immoral life-style is contrary to God and will eventually lead to absolute ruin. Live a pure life. Don’t be like Samson.
