Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country . . . unto a land that I will show thee.
Out of the world’s system of that time, from an idolatrous nation, God called one man. Abram, whose name was later changed to Abraham, was willing to leave all that he had grown up with and follow God wherever He led him. This was faith - and God rewards faith. When we associate with the world, we cannot give God the place He wants or deserves in our life. Separation from the world in simple faith, believing and following God, will bring great blessing.
