The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle.
There is no better witness to the truth of Christianity than a gentle, kind, loving spirit. A servant of the Lord must be this way if he is to gain the respect and confidence of his hearers. To run over people who don’t agree with you, to be argumentative and constantly asserting your correctness will not win the hearts of the unsaved or the support of other Christians. Ask the Lord to give you a gentle spirit.
