In the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice.
There is no happier place for the Christian than to be in the shadow of the Lord’s wings. “You mean the Lord has wings?” No. This is just a poetic expression that gives us the picture of the Lord as the One to whom we can go when we’re in trouble, or sad, or alone, and there we can find everything we need to make us happy. He’s never too busy for us, or has run out of room for us to be near Him. “His wings” also helps us see Him as one who will shelter us when the storms of life are almost too much to bear.
