This occurs only in John 5:22Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. (John 5:2), and the word market has been added. It was probably at the sheep gate (as in the margin) mentioned in the Old Testament, but which cannot now be identified.
