Shepherd

 
Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed  .  .  .
The work of a real shepherd is to take the burden, sin and heartache of another onto himself and confess it to God as if it were his own. You say, “But, isn’t that what Jesus did at Calvary?” Exactly. He was the good Shepherd that gave His life for the sheep. We, too, can bear the burden of another to the Lord and be used to help those of the flock who are going through hard times.
