Sin

A high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
Some might believe that you can only sin when you act or do something with your body or mouth. But the old, evil nature we all have from birth can sin without acting. A proud look is sin. The thought of foolishness is sin. A proud, unrepentant heart is sinning continually in thought, word and deed. Be sure you judge your inward secret attitude, and then your outward actions will be right. Remember that the Pharisees had good outward actions, but Jesus said that inside they were full of ravening and wickedness. Clean the inside first, then the outside will be clean too. (Matthew 23:25-2825Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 26Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 27Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. (Matthew 23:25‑28).)
