Joseph’s brothers sold him to some merchantmen who were travelling to Egypt. “Out of sight, out of mind” might sum up their attitude. The only memory they would have of Joseph was of him walking behind a camel caravan across the desert sand. But God wanted Joseph in Egypt. There was a very important job for him to do in about 13 years or so. Sometimes God’s school is long, but there’s a great blessing at the end of it.
