Through God we shall do valiantly.
Confidence in the Lord will make us strong. Confidence in self should make us very nervous. If I have confidence in myself and my abilities, then that shows that I really don’t know what I’m like. Peter was very confident that he would never deny the Lord. But when he was faced with the situation, he denied Jesus with oaths and curses. But we can say, with the Psalmist, “Through God we shall do valiantly.” Yes, God is the unchanging God who made the universe. His strength is our strength. And if we abide in Him, He will abide in us and give us the courage and strength to continue our life here with our heads held high and a light step. “Through God we shall do valiantly.”
