I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong.
One of the characteristics of young men is physical strength. The Apostle John, here, is using the physical to illustrate the spiritual. There is spiritual strength and stability in the young Christian who has made a commitment to Christ. Young people can be very strong in certain areas of their lives. John commends them for their spiritual fortitude. May each of us take heart and be strong for the Lord.
