Between Succoth and Zarthan, in the plain of Jordan, lay the clay ground in which were cast the brazen utensils for the temple (1 Kings 7:46; 2 Chron. 4:17). (2) First station of the Israelites after starting from Egypt, a day’s journey from Rameses (Ex. 12:37; 13:20; Num. 33:5-6).
