Thy wrath lieth hard upon Me, and Thou hast afflicted Me with all Thy waves.
We will never fully understand the depth of the suffering of the Lord Jesus on the cross. For three hours, in total darkness, Jesus bore the wrath of God against our sins. It was so awful that He cried out, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” It was our sins that caused God to turn His back. We will never know what that was like because God will never forsake us. Jesus bore that for us. Remember today to spend some time thinking about the Lord and what He suffered on account of our sins.
