DECEMBER 10
And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased  .  .  .  and would eat no bread.
Ahab was mad. So he sulked. The verse also tells us that he laid on his bed and turned away his face. Why? The same reason that most of us sulk. He couldn’t get what he wanted. He wanted another man’s property. The man, Naboth, wouldn’t give it to Ahab. Covetousness, if not satisfied, will cause you to sulk and when it is satisfied you’ll still want more. Learn to be content with what you have and, if the Lord wants you to have more, He will give it to you.
