(desert). Ninth son of Ishmael, and name of his tribe and country. Referred to Teyma in Syria, on the caravan route from Damascus to Mecca (Gen. 25:15; 1 Chron. 1:30; Job 6:19; Isa. 21:14; Jer. 25:23).
