96. The Savior Lives, No More to Die

The Savior lives, no more to die;
 
He lives, our Head, enthroned on high;
 
He lives triumphant o’er the grave;
 
He lives eternally to save.
“Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.” (Romans 6:9)
“Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church. Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” (Ephesians 1:20-23)

The chief of sinners He receives;
 
His saints He loves and never leaves;

Abundant grace will He afford,
 
Till we are present with the Lord;
 
And prove what we have sung before,
 
That Jesus lives forevermore.
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1:18)

Then let our souls in Him rejoice,
 
And sing His praise with cheerful voice:
 
Our doubts and fears forever gone,
 
For Christ is on the Father’s throne.
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4)
“So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (Hebrews 13:6)
