He sends me the following letter: ―
“I am writing you a few lines to let you know what a blessing your books have been to me. I have been out in France thirteen months, and words cannot express what a blessing I have derived from your pamphlets... I enlisted on August 21St 1914, and it was my faith in God alone that brought me safely through my terrible experiences in France and Belgium. Many times I have been close to death, and each time God lent me an helping hand. I was wounded on February 7th of this year, and have been in hospital till just recently..., I had one of your little pocket Testaments, but I am sorry to say I have lost it, and should be very glad if you could send me another, also some of those postcards, which I shall be very pleased to distribute among some of the men here. — Cpl.
