And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
One of the effects of the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross was the tearing of the veil in the temple. God tore it - from the top to the bottom. This showed that the Lord’s work was done and accepted and the way for us to go into the holy presence of God was now open. Happy day. Blessed privilege.
The veil is rent, our souls draw near,
Unto a throne of grace.
The merits of the Lord appear;
They fill the holy place.
