He hath poured out His soul unto death.
This statement creates a picture in our minds of a jug of water being poured out. It was full, now it is empty. That’s what Jesus did when He went to the cross. He “emptied” Himself and became obedient unto death, the Apostle Paul says, even the death of the cross. Jesus gave everything. He gave Himself, His life, His all. And He did it for you and me. Let’s praise Him today for Calvary and the giving of His life there.
